Ed Sheeran has announced additional dates for his Mathematics Tour which means his globe-trotting run of shows will have lasted three years.

The English popstar, 33, who recently caught a bit of flak for saying London was a ‘sketchy’ place, started the tour in Dublin all the way back in the summer of 2022.

Since then, the Shape of You hitmaker has graced the stage over 100 times on the tour – but he’s far from finished yet, with more European gigs on the way.

Ed took to Instagram to let everyone know that from May 2025, over a dozen more dates will see him play some of the biggest cities on the continent.

‘In 2025, Mathematics Tour comes to an end! Gonna be hitting most of the other places we haven’t been to yet, but the first dates to go up will be the rest of Europe.’

He then revealed that tickets would be going on sale to fans on July 10, and said he was looking forward to seeing his European devotees next year.

After revealing when tickets would become available, Ed admitted that he had needed to press ‘Stop’ on the tour but was now ready to press ‘Play’ once more.

The next European leg will begin in Madrid, the capital of Spain, on May 30, 2025, before wrapping up in Düsseldorf, Germany, on September 5, with 14 extra dates added in total.

After leaving Madrid, Ed will go to Marseille in France, Rome in Italy, back again to France to play in Lille, Stuttgart and Hamburg in Germany, before journeying to the Norwegian capital, Oslo.

Zurich in Switzerland will be the next stop in August 2025, before Antwerp in Belgium, Wroclaw in Poland, Stockholm in Sweden, and Copenhagen in Denmark – Düsseldorf will be the final show.

And when the European leg is over, there’s a chance the tour will journey outside of Europe before wrapping up completely, with plans to visit other continents now very much underway.

In a video, Ed said, ‘We’re gonna be doing a few shows in Europe and some more that we are going to announce soon. But this is it, this is the end.’

While he’s not touring Europe with his music at this moment in time, Ed has been following the England men’s team during their Euro 2024 campaign in Germany.

Cameras captured the Castle On the Hill singer going through it all as England came from behind to beat Slovakia 2-1 in the round of 16, going through to face Switzerland in the quarter-final.

Photos captured Ed amid the crowd of 60,000 in Gelsenkirchen with a beaming smile on his face, jumping around with his arms over pals’ shoulders in triumph after Jude Bellingham and Harry Kane’s goals.

Ed had his phone in hand to capture pictures of the already-legendary moment, as Jude’s overhead kick saved England from a shock elimination at the tournament.
