Emilie Kiser has returned to social media with a heartbreaking statement after taking time to ‘digest the loss of my baby’.
The 26-year-old American influencer’s three-year-old son Trigg, died after falling into the pool at their home in Phoenix, Arizona, in May this year.
Her husband Brady Kiser, 28, was at home with Trigg and the couple’s then-newborn son Theodore while Emilie was out for dinner with friends.
However, he lost sight of their eldest for three to five minutes while caring for Theodore and later found Trigg in the pool.
Emilie, who has over 4.1 million TikTok followers and 1.7 million on Instagram, has now returned to social media, with a statement about her tragic loss saying she takes ‘full responsibility’.
‘Loss of this magnitude feels impossible to put into words,’ her statement began.
‘I never thought we would experience grief in this way or the pain of losing him so suddenly. It’s a pain, heartache, and void that no family should ever have to endure.I take full accountability as Trigg’s mother, and I know I should have done more to protect him.
‘One of the hardest lessons I carry is that a permanent pool fence could have saved his life, and it’s something I will never overlook again. I hope amidst this pain, Trigg’s story will help prevent other children and families from suffering the same loss.’

In her post, she thanked her friends and family, who have supported them during this painful time.
‘To our family: we would not be getting through this without you. The support you have given us, the unconditional love, and the way you show up is something we will never be able to repay or thank you enough for.
‘We truly have the best and most supportive friends and family who have, quite literally, carried us through this and continue to do so daily.’
She also addressed her audience and thanked them for their support: ‘I cannot thank you enough for the kind messages I have received, for the outpouring of love for our family, and for the support you have brought to me in these extremely tough times.’
She concluded her post by emphasising that she would have stricter boundaries with what she posts from now on, but plans to share her grief in order to help people in a similar position.
‘Moving forward, I will be establishing more boundaries with what I share online. In the future, I hope to be in a place to share more about how I am navigating this grief, but right now, all I can say is thank you for the love, compassion, patience and space you’ve given us to grieve. I am more grateful for it than can ever be expressed.’

After news of her son’s death was made public, Emilie won a legal battle to keep graphic details of his death private.
A few months on, the declaration she made in this legal action has now been unsealed. Emilie’s heartbreaking statement about ‘forever second-guessing’ herself in the wake of her son Trigg’s death was made public just a week ago.
As reported by People, who obtained the documents, Emilie began by calling her son’s death ‘the most severe and emotional event I have ever experienced’.
