Emily Ratajkowski and Sebastian Bear-McClard have finalized their divorce nearly three years after separating. The Daily Mail confirmed on 28th July that the judgment was filed in the Manhattan Supreme Court on July 22, making the pair legally single.
Court records also indicate a qualified medical child support order was entered the same day. While specific details are sealed due to New York’s private divorce laws, filings date back to December 2023, suggesting a settlement was reached months earlier.
The End of a Tumultuous Marriage

Page Six reported in September 2022 that Ratajkowski, 34, filed for divorce in September 2022, four years after marrying Bear-McClard, 44. The split followed allegations that the filmmaker had been unfaithful. The couple shares one child, Sylvester Apollo Bear, born in March 2021. The 4-year-old primarily lives with Ratajkowski but continues to spend time with his father several times a week.
How Emily Is Embracing A New Era
Just days after the judgment, the author of “My Body” was spotted celebrating her Gucci Obsession campaign in the Hamptons, exuding post-divorce confidence. In past interviews, Ratajkowski has opened up about the emotional toll of the marriage. She also spoke to Vogue about it.

âI was really, really unhappy,â she shared on the Going Mental podcast. âI got really skinny because I was not okay.â She added that she tried antidepressants and struggled deeply before ultimately choosing to leave. “I think so much of what I learned coming out of that relationship is to trust your instincts,” she said.
Fighting the Stigma Around Divorce

Ratajkowski has also hinted at writing a book about divorce to help dismantle the shame surrounding it. In Vogue Australia, she noted, âThere arenât enough books about first marriages failing,â particularly from the perspectives of younger women.
She emphasized that women today are more empowered to walk away from unhealthy relationships, are financially independent, and are emotionally resilient.
Emily Begins New Chapter: Professionally & Personally
Ratajkowski continues to embrace her newfound freedom. She’s leaned into dating, earning headlines for a kiss with Harry Styles in Tokyo, a brief romance with Eric Andre, and links to DJ Orazio Rispo, Stephane Bak, and singer Shaboozey.
Whether sheâs making a statement on the red carpet or with her personal life, Emily Ratajkowski is entirely in control of her next chapter. She was also seen in a strong and empowering character, Wendy Jones, in Lena Dunham’s Netflix hit “Too Much”.
