Example has become a father again after his partner Daisy Cox gave birth on New Year’s Day.
Their 2025 is certainly off to a very exciting start with the arrival of their first child together!
The ecstatic parents took to Instagram to share the first pictures of the bundle of joy, and reveal what they have called him – they chose Lucas as his first name, and the unique middle name Winter. His surname is a combination of both mum and dad’s monikers – Cox Gleave (Example’s real name is Elliot John Gleave).
The youngster already has nicknames of Lukey Baby and Gorge Lucas… we’d expect nothing less from the son of the guy known as Example.
The 42-year-old singer shared with fans that his arrival was a little sooner than they expected.
‘Arrived 4 weeks ahead of schedule and he’s absolutely perfect. Best NYD present ever. And no one gonna forget his birthday ever,’ he explained.

The caption added: ‘Mummy and baby doing great. E&D xx.’
The messages of congratulations flooded in after the morning announcement which included three black and white photos.
In one image Example is wearing a surgical hat and kissing Daisy’s forehead as she cradles Lucas. In another, the baby is adorably holding onto his dad’s finger.

Fellow celebrity dads lead the well wishes with former footballer Wayne Bridge writing: ‘Love it congrats’ and Joe Wicks, also known as the Body Coach, adding: ‘Ah mate what a wonderful gift. Congratulations to you both. Enjoy all those Chesty’s.’ Producer Goldie simply said ‘Congratulations’.
Example already had two children – Evando, 10, and Ennio, 7 – with former wife of 11 years Erin McNaught who he split from in 2022. The pair met in 2011 when she interviewed him for MTV Australia, and two years later, they were married.

However a joint statement in 2023 revealed that they’d split and were now focused on a positive co-parenting relationship. They said their new normal was as ‘amicable as it gets’ and that their sons are ‘surrounded with love’.
In 2023, Example went public with art dealer Daisy, and has praised her dynamic with Erin, calling them ‘genuinely good friends’. He added he is still ‘besties’ with the mother of his two children.
Example was most prevalent during the early 2010s, with the singer, songwriter and producer becoming the third most downloaded dance music artist in 2014. He enjoyed major success with hits Kickstarts, Changed The Way You Kiss Me, and Won’t Go Quietly. Over his career, Example has released an impressive 14 LPs.
