
On April 1, Val Kilmer’s daughter, Mercedes Kilmer, told The New York Times that her father had passed away at the age of 65 from pneumonia.
The famous Hollywood actor was beloved, and it shows as fans have rushed to Mercedes’s last post on Instagram to pay their respects.
Mercedes’ post was a black-and-white photo of herself, promoting an event she was part of a Zebulon Café Concert in Los Angeles on March 4.
But since the announcement was made, fans have left many comments.
“Sending you and your family. much love,” one person wrote on Instagram.

Tributes Pour in for Val Kilmer
Many fellow actors have posted on social media with touching tributes for Kilmer after his death was announced.
Josh Brolin posted a photo of himself with Kilmer, along with a nice message.

Francis Ford Coppola also took to Instagram with a note.
“Val Kilmer was the most talented actor when in his High School, and that talent only grew greater throughout his life. He was a wonderful person to work with and a joy to know â I will always remember him,” Ford Coppola said.
And the official Top Gun X account paid tribute to Kilmer.
“Remembering Val Kilmer, whose indelible cinematic mark spanned genres and generations. RIP Iceman,” they wrote.
