Fellow Musicians Honor Ozzy Osbourne

It’s a sad day in the rock world, as the passing of the legendary Ozzy Osbourne has just been confirmed by TMZ. The 76-year-old superstar just recently played his final gig on July 5, 2025, surrounded by a host of other legendary musicians.

The rock world is in complete mourning, and the tributes for Ozzy are only just beginning to pour in as fellow musicians and fans alike unite to celebrate the rock icon.

His family has issued a statement to the BBC, which reads, “It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning. He was with his family and surrounded by love. We ask everyone to respect our family privacy at this time.”


Tributes Pour in for Ozzy Osbourne

Whitesnake’s David Coverdale was the first to share his thoughts on X, formerly Twitter, posting. “A Very Sad Good Morning, All…Thoughts & Prayers To Ozzy’s Family, Friends & Fans…I’ve Known & Loved Him Since We Met At The California Jam In 1974…An Awful Lot Of Loss This Year…Much Love To All…Have As Nice A Day As You Can…”

Flavor Flav posted: “Man,, real heart broken over the passing of OZZY OSBOURNE,,, we go way back and it was a real honor to watch him get inducted into the @rockhall last year. Sending my love and prayers to Sharon and his kids and whole family. RIP”

Ronnie Wood of the Rolling Stones also paid tribute on X, saying, “I am so very sad to hear of the death of Ozzy Osbourne. What a lovely goodbye concert he had at Back To The Beginning in Birmingham.”

MTV also weighed in on the loss of Ozzy, posting on X, “We’re deeply saddened to learn that rock & roll icon Ozzy Osbourne, famously known as the Prince of Darkness, passed away this morning. Our hearts are with his family, loved ones, and many dedicated fans during this time. We know his legacy will live on through music-lovers around the world.”

Chip Z’Nuff traveled in the same rock circles as Ozzy. He shared to X, “I loaned Ozzy my 12 string Hamer bass at A%M studio in LA in 1993, and we shared a few dunhill smokes and stories of the past, always charming and transparent @MonstersOfRock @EddieTrunk @BlackSabbath.”

As word continues to spread, the outpouring of love and tributes for Ozzy Osbourne will continue to spread online.
