A former child actor who starred in an Oscar-winning 00s blockbuster franchise has delighted excited fans during a recent appearance.
William Moseley shot to fame playing a lead role in 2005’s film adaptation of The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe,
Moseley, now 37, was cast as Peter, the oldest sibling in the Pevensie family, who are all evacuated to the countryside in World War II and discover the magical world of Narnia at the back of a wardrobe.
He would appear in two further Chronicles of Narnia movies – 2008’s Prince Caspian and 2010’s The Voyage of the Dawn Treader – alongside Anna Popplewell, Skandar Keynes and Georgie Henley, who played his siblings Susan, Edmund and Lucy.
The star popped up on social media over the Christmas period after collaborating with literary project The Queen’s Reading Room, the official book club of avid reader Queen Camilla.
Appearing as a Narnia expert for a talk filmed at the Old Library at Magdalen College, Oxford, Moseley spoke about his time playing Peter, his personal connection to the world created by author C.S. Lewis and also read a few extracts from the books.
Fans were loving his performance but were also distracted by his good looks, with Edwina Forkin commenting: ‘Beautiful voice and beautiful person.’

‘This is now my Roman Empire,’ wrote @hope24seven, while @eleanorevery_ shared: ‘I could watch this on loop I love everything about this. William has always been the sweetest person.’
Noelle Loparco cut to the chase though, responding with: ‘Oh whyyyy are you so devilishly handsome and wonderful!?’
‘He is so charming, what a King,’ agreed @carmi_lpz, while @mgthurber added: ‘You are beloved by millions, and I am one of them.’
‘Was fortunate to be an extra in a movie and work alongside William Mosley. He was quite the gentleman and so kind,’ chimed in @4gingersnap.
Previous posts on his personal Instagram account have also attracted fans’ notice, with many swooning over photos and commenting that he has been getting ‘more and more handsome over the years’.
Moseley, who also works as an acting coach, has had a busy past year or so, starring in Hallmark festive flick Christmas in Notting Hill at the end of 2023, as well as taking the lead in The Ballad of Davy Crockett, opposite Colm Meaney and Jesse Hutch.
He was also most recently in D-Day film Murder Company alongside Kelsey Grammer and previously played the role of Prince Liam in TV show The Royals opposite Elizabeth Hurley.
The Narnia movies, which are approaching their 20th anniversary, boasted impressive casts, including James McAvoy as Mr Tumnus, Tilda Swinton as the White Witch, Ben Barnes as Prince Caspian and Will Poulter as Eustace Scrubb, as well as Liam Neeson as the voice of Aslan.

Collectively, the three films grossed over $1.5billion (£1.19bn) worldwide, and there were plans announced to make a fourth film – based on The Silver Chair – to be directed by Jumanji and Honey, I Shrunk the Kids filmmaker Joe Johnston but with a new cast.
However, it was announced in 2018 that Netflix had purchased the rights to produce TV and film adaptations of all seven Chronicles of Narnia books, effectively putting the kibosh on those plans.
Barbie writer and director Greta Gerwig is slated to helm at least two of these rebooted films.
