It has been revealed that Gavin and Stacey has suffered from a major script leak as a major part of the Christmas special plotline has been revealed.
Anticipation has been building for the final ever episode of the beloved comedy series created by Ruth Jones and James Corden.
With photographers and fans constantly watching the actors shoot on set, it’s perhaps not surprising that there has been a leak from the show.
A photograph snapped of James, 46, holding a script revealed a major spoiler about the episode.
It has now been reported that the cast has been told to keep their scripts hidden and stay on ‘high alert’ when it comes to leaks.
An insider told The Sun newspaper: ‘Everyone is excited for the return of Gavin, Stacey, Smithy and the gang so naturally interest is at an all-time high.
‘Every day fans are flocking to the filming sites in Cardiff and Barry Island to see the cast filming and take their own photos and selfies.
‘It’s a challenge trying to keep key storylines under wraps but the cast have been reminded to be on alert.’

Although the cast may now be sleeping a tight lid on the plot of the series, snaps taken of the actors on set may have hinted at certain narratives in the one-off special.
The cast was seen wearing formal clothing while on set earlier this month, and the suited and booted looks led some to believe that a wedding might be taking place in the final episode.
This led many to believe that Smithy and Nessa are going to tie the knot – but maybe Pete and Dawn are just renewing their vows…again.

Fans have also spotted Oscar Hartland on set, the actor who played Neil the baby and was unrecognisable as a teenager.
Melanie Walters, who plays Gwen West was also snapped looking ageless as she returned to set 17 years after the show’s debut.
The creators have sadly confirmed that this Christmas special will be the ‘last ever’ episode of Gavin and Stacey – so we can’t wait to see what they have in store!
