Reality icon Gemma Collins had a drastic mix-up in her skincare routine as she lamented about her ‘terrible’ facial fake tan.

The former Towie star, 43, took to her Instagram Story on Monday night to talk about a new fibre-plus diet she was on. While chatting with fans, she was quick to point out the glaring bronzed-up face.

‘Don’t even look at my face right now, I don’t know what I’ve done,’ she said in the video.

‘I think I went to put face serum on last night and I’ve put a tan drop serum on. Terrible, terrible, terrible. It could only happen to me, hands are pure white.’

Although she tried to stay on topic, she kept coming back to the beauty blunder. She stared at the harsh, lined, cut-off around her face in the reflection which quite obviously switches from brown to pale white.

She then appealed to fans for help in a slight panic, continuing: ‘Any solutions on how… look how bad that is. Is that not bad?

‘Shocking. Typical me, always in a rush, not looking properly – but dinner was delicious,’ she added to her over two million followers.

Luckily, fans are all too used to the Big Brother star’s occasionally wild behaviour.

Earlier this year she left people amused after a meeting with King Charles and Queen Camilla in which she referred to the monarch as ‘my majesty’ which has never been the correct term.

And when she celebrated her 43rd birthday, she shared a post that had people questioning if she was comparing herself to the Biblical figure himself, Jesus.

She wrote: ‘We all start somewhere and I’m proud to be a reality star! Jesus was born in a stable and look what he did!!!!’

The tanning debacle comes after Gemma got vulnerable while opening up about her negative I’m A Celebrity experience in 2014 where she left the jungle after only 72 hours due to mental health reasons.

‘‘[There was] all the embarrassment of like, you know what the TV programmes were saying, “Gemma Collins left the jungle, she was hungry, she was this.” And it wasn’t my fault,’ she told the Everything I Know About Me podcast.

‘I can remember laying in my flat where I lived and just thinking I just want to die. I haven’t done nothing wrong. I’ve left the jungle because of something that happened to me.

‘No one was even honest about what happened to me, so I had to walk around with this shame that I’d done something wrong.’

After withdrawing from the jungle, the media personality said she pulled out of the competition because she had been ‘really badly’ beaten by her then-partner Alexander Moss the night before travelling to Australia. He denied the allegations.
