<p id=”par-1_19″>If Georgia thought her life was about to settle down after her murder trial, she had the wrong idea. </p>
<p id=”par-2_62″><em>Ginny & Georgia </em>Season 3 (which dropped on <a href=”https://cheatsheet.com/tag/netflix”>Netflix</a> on June 5) began with the mom of two looking at the possibility of life in prison for <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/news/ginny-georgia-season-2-ending-explained-why-kill-tom-fuller.html/”>killing Tom at the end of season 2</a>. By the end of the season, her legal issues were resolved, but she was facing a whole new problem that threatened to throw her life into disarray. </p>

<p id=”par-4_82″><a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/news/ginny-georgia-brianne-howey-revealed-most-gut-wrenching-moment-season-2.html/”>Georgia (Brianne Howey)</a> is indisputably guilty of killing Tom, though she’s justified it to herself as a mercy killing to end the suffering of a man dying of cancer. But in the end, she escapes prison time thanks to the testimony of her son, Austin (Diesel La Torraca). His sister Ginny (Antonia Gentry) convinces her younger brother to take the stand and says he saw his biological father Gil (Aaron Ashmore) murder Tom. (In reality, he witnessed his mom do the deed.) </p>
<p id=”par-5_54″>That last-minute twist frees Georgia and positions her to regain custody of her two kids. But then comes the finale’s major bombshell: Georgia is pregnant, and the dad’s identity isn’t clear. She’s recently had sex with both her estranged husband Paul (Scott Porter) and Joe (Raymond Ablack), so either man could be the father. </p>

<p id=”par-6_42″>In an interview with <a href=”https://ew.com/ginny-and-georgia-season-3-finale-georgia-pregnant-sarah-lampert-sarah-glinski-11748203″>Entertainment Weekly</a>, <em>Ginny & Georgia </em>creator Sarah Lampert and showrunner Sarah Glinski weighed in on Georgia’s surprise baby news and what’s in store for the upcoming season. (Netflix renewed <em>Ginny & Georgia </em>for season 4 back in 2023) </p>
<p id=”par-7_33″>The pair confirmed that Georgia is definitely pregnant, and that the upcoming season will draw out the paternity mystery. But rest assured, the show’s team knows exactly which guy is the baby’s daddy. </p>
<p id=”par-8_112″>“My favorite part about this writers’ room, especially now that we’re in season 4, is that everyone in the room has worked on the show a prior season. So the group really knows the gang. What’s so fun about working with such talented writers is how Glinski and I entered this season is we were like, ‘Okay, we know whose baby it is. Change our mind,’” Lampert said. “Then we spent a whole day with the writers, and it was contentious. There was a debate over how the storylines could go based on whose baby it was and all that. But no, we’ve landed on whose baby it is. I’ll say that.”</p>
<p id=”par-9_23″>The pair admitted that they did consider taking a different direction with the baby storyline, but they ultimately stuck with their original plan. </p>
<p id=”par-10_35″>“I think the exploration of the other path confirmed our original choice, but also made it richer. So we got lots of story out of taking that little journey for a few days,” Glinski said.</p>
<p id=”par-11_28″>The season 3 finale also featured the unexpected appearance of Georgia’s estranged mother and stepfather. Lampert says that season 4 will delve more deeply into <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/news/ginny-georgia-who-is-mary.html/”>Georgia’s complicated backstory</a>. </p>
<p id=”par-12_30″>“What we can say about season 4 is that the theme is cycles and origins … we’ll be grappling with Georgia’s past, but I won’t go into specifics,” she said. </p>
