‘Gossip Girl’ Star Details Their Random Cast Reunion at a Beyoncé Concert

It’s been more than a decade since “Gossip Girl” came to an end. Since then, the cast of the series has gone on to achieve much more in their careers. Recently, Chace Crawford opened up about the chance encounter he had with one of his former co-stars at a Beyoncé concert. 

This comes after “Gossip Girl” ended its run on The CW in 2012 after having started in 2007. Since its conclusion, the show has gained newfound popularity on streaming as more viewers discover it. There was even a short-lived reboot that began in 2021 and ended after two seasons. 

Chace Crawford Sat Right Next To a Former “Gossip Girl” Co-star At a Beyoncé concert

Chace Crawford recently spoke to PEOPLE about his new fashion brand, American Dream Clubhouse. However, during the interview, he also discussed his current relationship with his former “Gossip Girl” co-stars. Notably, he says they’re all supportive of each other. 

According to Chace, “It’s been great. It’s been so fun for me to watch. Especially Penn [Badgley] with his show [You], we did an Actors on Actors a few years ago, and just to see him promoted and see little clips of him, he looks the same.”

The former “Gossip Girl” star continued, “I still see Jess [Szohr]. I went to her wedding, and I’ll see her this summer on a trip. It’s kind of like college. Everyone goes in their separate places, and you connect when you do.”

Regarding the chance encounter, he revealed, “I ended up at a Beyoncé concert, don’t ask me how, but I was there with someone, and [Leighton] ended up sitting right next to me. She’s like, ‘What are you doing here?’”

He continued, “And it was so loud. We were trying to catch up. I was like, ‘Look, we’re going to lunch or something. We’ve got to actually catch up properly.’”

The “Gossip Girl” reunion didn’t end there as Chace went on, “So two days later, we went to a late breakfast, and we ended up hanging out for three hours, catching up. You realize as you get older, too, oh my God, these people were such a specific relationship.”

Chace added, “We went through this crazy thing together. It’s a special thing in life to be able to reconnect now that we’re all older and view it from a different lens from afar and so far removed.”

Chace Recently Finished Filming “The Boys”

Chace Crawford, like many of the “Gossip Girl” stars, keeps pretty busy these days. In addition to his fashion line, he’s one of the main actors on “The Boys.” According to Tom’s Guide, the cast and crew recently wrapped filming for the 5th and final season of the Prime Video series. 

Additionally, he recently wrapped filming on a new thriller film, “Strobe.”
