As the world awaits another trailer for Rockstar’s sequel, there’re new rumours about a divisive new feature in GTA 6.

It’s been seven months since Rockstar debuted the first trailer for GTA 6, with still no word on a release date or when we’ll hear more about the sequel.

If absence makes the heart grow fonder, GTA fans have officially hit the pining over jewellery phase of this long distance relationship – as made clear by a new update in GTA Online.

As spotted on Reddit, a necklace shown in the GTA 6 trailer has recently been added to GTA Online, as part of the Bottom Dollar Bounties update.

According to a post by Reddit user DogWifDreads, the ‘silver layered necklace’ can be bought from the pricey fashion retailer Ponsonbys following the update. In the trailer, the necklace is worn by a bikini-clad character by a rooftop pool.

While it’s likely just a small Easter egg for those with a keen eye, that hasn’t stopped some from getting carried away.

Some commenters have speculated the necklace’s price could even be a hint towards GTA 6’s release date (the price isn’t shown in the post, but it’s likely to be around $30,000 based on the other items, but it makes no sense anyway as it’s only five digits long).

Some have also pointed out necklaces available at online retailers which are similar in style, for those brave enough to cosplay as the bikini woman.

Elsewhere, GTA fans recently discovered evidence that the dynamic body mechanic might be making a return in the upcoming sequel. The divisive feature was previously used in GTA: San Andreas, where protagonist CJ’s weight could fluctuate depending on his diet and how much exercise he got.

As collated by fan account GTA 6 Countdown, some have noticed that characters Jason and Lucia in the GTA 6 trailer appear to have varying body types in different clips, while gyms were also mentioned in a prior leak.

Trying to keep fit in San Andreas was as tedious as it is in real life but there are several other possible explanations for their changing body size, such as being able to customise the characters before you start or perhaps a time skip in the story.

Rockstar hasn’t given an exact release date for GTA 6 but, based on a Take-Two Interactive financial report in May, it’s expected to arrive sometime in autumn 2025.
