Hailee Steinfeld and her husband, Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen, are joyfully anticipating a major new chapter in their life together â theyâre expecting their first child!
The Oscar-nominated actress shared the news in her Substack newsletter on Friday, Dec. 12 , revealing that she and Allen are thrilled to be welcoming a baby after less than a year of marriage and many treasured moments as a couple.
The coupleâs pregnancy announcement came as part of Steinfeldâs list of her 29 favorite moments in honor of her 29th birthday.
In the reveal, she included a sweet video captured in the snow, where Allen tenderly kisses her baby bump while Steinfeld wears a cozy fleece that reads âmother.â
The clip ends with the couple holding hands beside a tiny snowman, offering a warm and personal glimpse into their happiness.
She later shared the video on Instagram.
Steinfeld, known for her breakout performance in âTrue Gritâ at age 13 and her roles in Hawkeye, âPitch Perfect 2,â and âDickinson,â and now Allen, 29, have kept much of their personal life relatively private â even as their relationship blossomed into marriage earlier this year.
The Two Married in May
The couple tied the knot on May 31 in a gorgeous outdoor ceremony in Santa Barbara, California.
While the couple are notorously private, Steinfeld couldn’t resist gushing about her big day in her newsletter.
âIâm sitting here with Josh, and weâre reminiscing on the best weekend of our lives for the millionth time,â she began as she gave fans a glimpse into their special day.
She noted how the energy of the day was pure magic.
âIt felt like love was running through the veins of every tree at our gorgeous venue in Santa Barbara,â she added. âOur family and friends coming together amplified it.â
The Two Often Say Sweet Things About Each Other
Shortly after their wedding, Allen said marrying Steinfeld was at the top of his list of recent accomplishments.
âTheyâve all been big,â he said. âNone other than marrying my best friend. She makes everything easier.â
He added how it was the “most important decision” of his life and that he “made the right one.”
Steinfeld shared a similar sentiment while speaking with Bustle in November.
“That inner peace that you have, that rock, that solid, consistent part of your life is indescribable,” she said. “I literally thank God every day that I found my person, and itâs the greatest thing in the world. Life makes sense. Everything makes sense.”
