Hit Show Kills Off 7 Characters in One Episode

Cowboy Silhouettes

If you thought “1923” was saving the big drama for the finale, think again. The “Yellowstone” prequel just dropped one of its most brutal episodes yet, killing off seven characters in one fell swoop. That’s right… seven. As we head into the two-part season finale, the body count is rising, and the stakes are higher than ever. Let’s break down who didn’t make it and what this means for the end of the season.

Warning: Spoilers ahead for “1923” Season 2, Episode 6: “The Mountain Teeth of Monsters.”

Who Didn’t Survive the Chaos?

According to US Weekly, the March 30, 2025 episode kicked off with bloodshed when Pete Plenty Clouds (Jeremy Gauna) was killed by Marshall Kent (Jamie McShane); only for Father Renaud (Sebastian Roché) to turn around and take out Kent himself. Father Renaud also took out Runs His Horse (Michael Spears) after he chose to light a fire, thinking he was safe.

The Duttons then suffered a massive blow as Jack (Darren Mann) was ambushed and killed by Banner Creighton’s (Jerome Flynn) men, a move that will no doubt have major repercussions. Meanwhile, Teonna Rainwater (Aminah Nieves) finally got the revenge fans have been waiting for, taking down Father Renaud in a long-overdue showdown.

And as if all of that wasn’t enough, Alex (Julia Schlaepfer) and a British couple, found themselves caught in a brutal snowstorm, leading to their tragic deaths. Whether it was revenge, ambushes, or the sheer force of nature, “1923” proved once again that no one is safe in this world.

What Does This Mean for the Finale?

With two episodes left, there’s still plenty of room for more twists, more heartbreak, and possibly even more casualties. Jack’s death leaves a massive hole in the Dutton family, setting the stage for a reckoning. Teonna may have taken down one of her biggest threats, but her journey isn’t over yet. And with Alex gone, Spencer’s (Brandon Sklenar) storyline just took a devastating turn.

The big question now? How will this all wrap up; and is this the end of “1923,” or will we get a Season 3? So far, there’s been no official word on whether the story will continue, which makes these final two episodes even more intense. Whether this is the beginning of the end or just another chapter in the “Yellowstone” universe, one thing’s for sure: it’s going to be a wild ride. Saddle up!

Part 1 of the “1923” Season 2 finale (Episode 7: “A Dream and a Memory”) airs Sunday April 6, 2025 on Paramount+.
