Geordie Shore’s Holly Hagan shared how she still struggles with ‘break downs’ over her sister Darci Rose’s death at age 19.
Last month, the 33-year-old TV star broke the news on Instagram of her half-sister’s sudden and ‘traumatic’ death.
At the time, she described feeling ‘immeasurable grief and sadness’, adding she was ‘forever be grateful’ to the emergency services in Manchester.
The family asked for privacy but recently had some uplifting news as Holly confirmed she is expecting her second child with husband Jacob Blyth.
‘Our little rainbow amongst the storm. Baby Blyth no2 coming May 2026 🤍✨🕊️’, she wrote at the time.
Giving a bigger update after the announcement, Holly said: ‘Thank you for all the support you have given me over the last few months.
She added: ‘It has been a whole whirlwind of emotions. I’ve never had this many messages in my life.
‘As a parent or sister or anyone in the world, you can just imagine how it feels. But I am doing ok. I am strong.’
In her pregnancy announcement, the TV personality revealed she had told Darci she was expecting in their last messages to each other.
Holly and Jacob, who tied the knot in 2022, also have a little boy named Alpha-Jax, who was born in June 2023.
In her video, Holly concluded: ‘I do have my moments where I break down and that’s completely normal. For the most part, I am being strong but that doesn’t mean it’s not hard.
‘I don’t want all my posts to be depressing and make people cry but this is just where my life is at right now.’
Holly shared screenshots of her emotional exchange with Darci, who was delighted for her sister and ‘wanted to cry’.
‘She was the best aunty, Alpha-Jax adored her,’ Holly revealed in another post. ‘She spent his whole birthday on the bouncy castle with AJ and Alba, and that’s a memory I’ll cherish forever.’
Just two days after Darci’s funeral, Holly attempted to share an update but was quickly overcome with emotion.
Along with the order of service for the funeral, she wrote: ‘I hope we did you proud today, baby girl. We all miss and love you so much.’
A cause of death has not been shared by the family, but police confirmed to Metro that she had fallen ‘seriously ill after it is believed she had taken drugs’.
