For years now, Ryan Gosling has been charming audiences with not only his great acting abilities, but also his amazingly devilish good looks. While best known for his roles in movies like âThe Notebookâ and âBarbie,â the Oscar-nominated actor has transformed into his latest role, which shows him in a whole new light.
New Trailer Leaves Fans Wanting More
Gosling is set to star in his newest fil, âProject Hail Mary,â and the trailer has left fans excited to see the movie when it hits theaters.
As the trailer begins, we see Gosling in character, which includes a bushy beard and long hair. The unkempt look is a contrast to how the normally clean-shaven, put-together A-list actor normally looks.
The movie is an adaptation of the Andy Weir novel with the same name. That novel was released in May 2021. The Hollywood Reporter states the movie hails from Amazon MGM Studios and will be released on March 20, 2026.
A Teacher to the Rescue?
For the movie, Gosling plays Ryland Grace, who happens to be a middle school teacher that is challenged with the difficult task of having to save the planet Earth.
As seen in the trailer, Grace ends up on a spaceship. However, he is confused on why he is there and doesnât seem to have any recollection of his past.
While Grace tries to get out of being tasked with this huge responsibility, he soon discovers that he doesnât have a choice in the matter. In addition to Gosling, the movie also stars Sandra Huller and Milana Vayntrub.
Fans Are Loving the New Look
The trailer for âProject Hail Maryâ debuted and fans have flocked to the comments to show their appreciation for the new look for Gosling and the fact that he is starring in a sci-fi movie.
One person commented on YouTube: âI have rarely been this excited to see a movie. Jazz hands forever!â
Another fan wrote: âThis book was fantastic, Gosling is going to be awesome in the lead role. Here’s to 9 months of waiting!â
Many fans had thoughts on Rocky also: âRocky’s ship design is very interesting – definitely more extra-terrestrial than the book,â and âI REALLY wish they hadnât of spoiled Rocky, but I totally understand why they had to. Hard to get butts in seats.â
