Iggy Azalea has revealed that while she put on a brave face for the cameras, when taking photos of herself, she was privately dealing with health struggles. The âFancyâ musician had nerve damage in her legs, which later caused an infection. To counteract the infection, she had a peripherally inserted central catheter (PICC) line inserted into her arm.
Iggy Azalea Struggled With Her Health in Private
âI just ended up getting whatâs called a chronically non-healing wound because I had a PICC line in my arm,â she told ABC News on Saturday, August 9. At the time, she chose not to make her health struggles public. âWe would take the PICC line out and then take hot bikini pictures for a day or two,â she said. âI turned lemons into lemonade with that. I really did.â
Azalea retired from music to focus on OnlyFans, where she had a large following. She only kept the account for a year. Speaking of this, she said, âIâm no fool. Iâve been paid before I even made the profile. I was the top for that year. I barely, honestly, didnât have to do much.â In that year, she made âlife-changingâ amounts of money, and although she did not reveal the exact amount, she did confirm it was ânot $48 millionâ like some previous reports suggested.
She continued, âItâs a little lower. It was great for me because I was able to take all that money and use it to seed out ideas I had about businesses that I wanted to build.â
Iggy Azalea Is Focusing on the Future
These days, Azalea is focusing on cryptocurrency and wireless provider Unreal Mobile. âI want control. I think a very big part of the last ten years of my life has honestly been a part of getting that control back and being able to navigate my own ship in those ways,â she told ABC News. âIt feels really good to be able to do it.â
Azalea has the financial freedom now to pursue her passions, but fans still occasionally get a glimpse into her private life thanks to social media. Her last Instagram post was on June 7, when she celebrated her 35th birthday. She shared several photos of herself wearing a sheer black dress and posing for pictures.
