The couple announced their separation and decision to divorce with a statement after Kidman filed for divorce on September 30, citing “irreconcilable differences.” But how is Kidman spending her first holiday season without Urban?

The actress is reportedly spending Christmas with her and Urban’s daughters, Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 14, and they flew to her homeland of Australia, People reports. “Nicole and the girls are in Australia for Christmas. This is all she wanted after a tumultuous fall,” a source said, People reports. “She just wanted to celebrate Christmas at home. She’s very excited.” 

The source also revealed that Kidman is “doing well,” post-split. They add, “She’s been super positive and focused on things that she’s grateful for. And there are so many! She feels very blessed.”

The news of how Kidman is spending her festive season comes a day after she and her daughters were spotted in Sydney, Australia, on December 24. The trio was photographed attending a Christmas party, Page Six reports. The actress looked stunning in a simple yellow slip dress, with her hair loose and curly. In the photos taken of her, she seems happy and carefree.

Urban’s last Instagram post was three days ago, and it was a video of him and Blake Shelton discussing the finale of “The Roads.” The country singer has made no mention of his holiday plans or shared how he will be spending his first Christmas post-divorce. In the post’s comments, fans have said it was a “great show” and that there needs to be a new season.

Kidman’s feelings, however, were reported on in early December. In an article published by People on December 8, a source revealed that the split had been “stressful” for Kidman but that she was looking forward to he holiday season. “She has several holiday traditions that she has kept for much of her life. The holidays have always been a family-centered time, whether in Nashville or back home in Australia,” a source said, People reports. 

The source also revealed how Kidman would be focusing on her daughters. “She loves sharing it with her daughters. It will just be a different celebration this year,” they shared. “Nicole and Keith continue to co-parent. The focus is on their daughters. They both want to create a stable and supportive environment for them.”
