Aimee Osbourne paid tribute to her late father, Ozzy Osbourne, in a deeply personal way during his funeral procession in Birmingham.

The 41-year-old musician wore a striking bat-shaped brooch on her blazer—a nod to one of the most infamous moments of the Black Sabbath frontman’s career.

The accessory referenced Ozzy’s notorious 1982 performance during which he bit the head off a bat on stage. It was a moment that cemented his wild persona and became a lasting symbol of his career. Aimee’s subtle but powerful tribute did not go unnoticed as fans and mourners gathered to remember the rocker’s life and legacy.

Ozzy Osbourne passed away on July 22 at the age of 76. His funeral procession on July 30 drew thousands of fans from across the globe. The hearse carrying his body traveled through Broad Street to the Black Sabbath Bridge, where a bench honoring the band is located.

Each Osbourne Family Member Wore Meaningful Tributes

The entire Osbourne family paid homage to the heavy metal icon with carefully chosen accessories. Daughter Kelly Osbourne, 40, was seen wearing round blue-tinted glasses similar to her father’s iconic eyewear. Jack Osbourne, 39, opted for a black Chrome Hearts tie adorned with a silver cross, mirroring the crosses Ozzy frequently wore. Wife Sharon, 72, wore her late husband’s wedding ring around her neck.

Photos from the service show the family somber but unified, dressed in black with personal touches reflecting Ozzy’s signature style. Aimee’s bat pin stood out as perhaps the most evocative tribute.

A statement obtained by Page Six from the Osbourne family last week read: “It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning. He was with his family and surrounded by love. We ask everyone to respect our family privacy at this time. Sharon, Jack, Kelly, Aimee and Louis.”

Fans lined the funeral route and chanted Ozzy’s name while tossing flowers toward the hearse. The public celebration marked the end of a legendary career that spanned more than five decades.

A Farewell Fit for the Prince of Darkness

Ozzy’s final public performance took place earlier this month during the Black Sabbath farewell concert on July 5 in Birmingham. It was a full-circle moment for the singer, and the event became even more meaningful when his daughter Kelly accepted a surprise proposal from longtime partner Sid Wilson backstage.

As fans mourn the loss of one of rock’s greatest showmen, tributes like Aimee’s bat brooch serve as reminders of the unforgettable icon he was—and the mark he left on music and culture alike.
