Now the Oscars and Golden Globes are out of the way, it’s time for the Bafta TV Awards to shine.
Now in its 51st year, the annual ceremony is just days away, with A-list actors set to descend the red carpet in London’s South Bank.
Stars up for awards include national treasure David Tennant, Gavin and Stacey legend Ruth Jones and Baby Reindeer’s Richard Gadd.
Meanwhile, TV shows such as Mr Bates vs The Post Office, Loose Women and Supacell are also hoping to bag a gong.
There’s also a new presenter handling the Baftas – and The Traitors fans will recognise him.
Here’s everything you need to know about the Bafta TV Awards.
When are the Bafta TV Awards 2025?

The Bafta TV Awards are taking place on Sunday, May 11, at the Southbank Centre’s Royal Festival Hall.

This year, Jessie J will perform for the first time on TV in six years, as well as singer-songwriter Tom Grennan.
In a statement, the Price Tag singer said: ‘I haven’t sung on British television in years. What a way to come back, it’s an honour. But who will the award go to, that’s the question.’

The Bafta TV Awards will be broadcast on BBC One and iPlayer on Sunday, May 11, from 7pm until 9pm.
Comedians Suzi Ruffell and Tom Allen will also report from the red carpet on Bafta’s YouTube account.
TikTok is being catered for too – with presenter Charley Marlowe helming the coverage.
Who is the Bafta TV Awards host?

For the past two years, the Bafta TV Awards have been presented by comedians Rob Beckett and Romesh Ranganathan.
However, they have been replaced in 2025 by The Traitors US host and actor Alan Cumming.
Aside from presiding over the Faithfuls and Traitors in the Scottish Highlands, the 60-year-old is known for his glittering Hollywood career.
Alan has appeared in classic films including GoldenEye, Eyes Wide Shut, and Spy Kids.
Speaking about his appointment, Emma Baehr, the executive director of awards and content at Bafta, previously teased: ‘He will definitely bring a playful sense of mischief and fun to the ceremony, so audiences should expect the unexpected at Britain’s biggest celebration of TV on Sunday 11 May.’

Alan, who has been hailed as ‘brilliant’ and ‘hugely talented’ by fans, impressed viewers with his stint as Claudia Winkleman’s counterpart on the US version of The Traitors.
But in January, the Scottish actor – who became an American citizen in 2008 – revealed that he intends to spend more time in the UK moving forwards.
Alan – who moved to New York in 1998 – said on the How to be 60 podcast: ‘My husband Grant and I are planning to split our time more between here and New York, rather than before we had a holiday home here.
‘I’ve definitely been planning to do that just as a thing in my life, but also my work.
‘I’m now doing The Traitors, so once a year I’m here for a month and I made two films here last year. It’s almost like the universe is pulling me back.’
