One of the most popular boybands of the 90s and noughties are finally treating their fans to an all original member reunion.

Boyzone is set to headline a very special show next year which will see Ronan Keating, Keith Duffy, Shane Lynch and Mikey Graham all perform together for the first time in six years.

Not only is this gig set to be their biggest headline show ever after rising to fame together in 1994, but it will also feature a special tribute to their late former bandmember and friend Stephen Gately, who died in 2009.

According to their official social media accounts, Boyzone will perform One For The Road: Live At Emirates Stadium in London on Saturday June 6.

It’s being billed as a one-off, with no touring to other venues expected from the group – although if fan demand allows for it with a speedy sell-out, the boys could always add another date or two we predict.

Boyzone recently released a tell-all documentary, Boyzone: No Matter What, on Sky – with the response to that prompting the Love Me For A Reason hitmakers to explore a reunion show.

It had been speculated that the group would reunite for their 30th anniversary in 2023, but Ronan ruled it out at the time, citing Gately’s death as the reason.

‘We’ve been truly blown away and humbled by the response to the documentary this year,’ Boyzone shared in a statement.

Ronan, 48, recently teased that they were going to ‘try’ and reunite next year.

Speaking on the Scott Mills Breakfast Show on BBC Radio 2 earlier this month, Ronan said the response to the four-part Sky documentary, released in February, had prompted fresh discussions about the group’s future that made him think about getting the group back together.

He said: ‘The reaction was unbelievable, so we’ve obviously been talking about our story for the last 30 years, and we felt like that was kind of it, that maybe that was the end of the story.

How did Stephen Gately die?

Stephen Gately died on October 10, 2009, at his holiday home in Majorca.

He was just 33 years old.

It later transpired he had died from an undiagnosed heart condition.

Last year, on the 15th anniversary of his death, his Boyzone bandmates paid tribute to him with photos and memories on social media, and shared that they were still heartbroken.

‘A Brother’s Heart. Steo, my brother, my friend,’ wrote Keith.

‘It’s been 15 years since you left us, but the memories of you remain as vivid as ever.

‘Your laughter, your spirit, your infectious energy – they’re a constant in my life. I miss you dearly. Love always.’

“And well, we’ve all been chatting over the last few weeks, and I think 2026 might be a year for Boyzone to maybe try and do something.’

The band later posted on Instagram with a picture of themselves and the words ‘the journey continues’, encouraging fans to sign up to a mailing list.

Boyzone first split in 2000 as its members pursued solo careers, before reuniting in 2007.

They toured extensively, including their Thank You And Goodnight farewell shows between 2018 and 2019, but have not performed together since.

Asked by Scott Mills how his bandmates were doing, Ronan said: ‘They’re really great… after the documentary, the reaction was crazy, it was unbelievable, honestly, even people that weren’t fans of Boyzone were contacting me saying, “I had no idea”.’

Speaking about the reach of Boyzone: No Matter What, he added: ‘British Airways had it on the plane (to England) in the documentary section, and somebody was watching it next to me, and it was really awkward, I had to put a blanket over my head.’

Boyzone scored six UK number one singles and five UK number one albums, with hits including Words, No Matter What and Picture of You.

They boast six UK number one singles, 18 Top 10 songs and five UK number one albums.
