Late arrivals Maura Higgins and Reverend Richard Coles have delighted I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! viewers with their adorable dynamic.
The pair debuted in Thursday night’s episode and were placed in the Jungle Junkyard, a cleverly disguised ‘basic’ camp hiding luxuries such as a double bed, a stocked fridge, and a bathtub.
Their mission? Convince main camp members they were living in squalor to earn food rewards.
The pair quickly developed a comedic dynamic that fans found irresistible. Their first challenge required them to persuade the main camp to sacrifice a bed for Maura, with Richard jokingly strategizing, ‘You’ve got to be in a state, and I’ve got to be really worried about you.’
Acting their parts perfectly, they convinced Coleen Rooney and GK Barry – who delivered dishes to the junkyard – to believe they were struggling.
Maura and Richard even hurriedly hid their luxuries when the main camp approached.

The ruse worked. After receiving a heartfelt letter from the duo, Radio 1 DJ Dean surrendered his bed.
Main camp carried it to the Jungle Junkyard, leaving Maura and Richard triumphant.
Fans flooded social media with praise, calling them a ‘genius pairing’ and expressing delight at their comedic chemistry.
Another hilarious moment came later on when, sharing a double bed with the reverend, Maura delivered a side-splitting one liner.

@eds_afterglow put it well, writing: ‘Every year there’s the friendship no one expected and this year it’s Maura Higgins and reverend Richard Coles.’

@katyajcnes said: ‘Not Love Islands Maura Higgins and gods Reverend Richard Coles being the duo I never knew I needed 😭😭 they’re so funny.’
This season of the iconic TV show has been a hit with fans, with some thinking it could be the best-ever season of the reality TV series.
It returned with a bang on Sunday night and was as hilarious as ever with an enormous trouser snake and Wagatha Christie jokes flying around – and that was just the first episode.
Now, as the celebs settle into jungle life, fans are hopeful that Maura and the Reverend continue their mischief.
