Sophie Habboo has announced that she is pregnant with her first child with her husband Jamie Laing.

The duo, who rose to fame on Made in Chelsea, shared a video of their scan on Instagram to reveal the exciting news.

Speculation about the couple had been at an all-time high as their successful podcast made way for them to step into separate radio presenter positions.

In the video, Sophie, 30, was seen lying in a hospital bed, smiling at Jamie and overcome with emotion as she said ‘oh my god’.

On seeing the scan, Jamie, 36, gasped ‘Are you kidding me?’ as the camera panned to Sophie, with her jaw on the floor, staring at the screen and listening to the heartbeat.

As Sophie and Jamie grow their family, this is everything you need to know about the couple.

Are Jamie Laing and Sophie Habboo married?

Jamie and Sophie wed in 2023 after meeting on the E4 reality show Made In Chelsea, realising their mutual attraction in 2019.

Jamie previously explained that they started off as ‘best friends’ before feelings of attraction began to develop three years into their friendship.

He emphasised how much ‘respect’ they have for each other, despite the fact that they constantly take the mick in their playful relationship.

The pair were engaged in 2021 and got married in a low-key ceremony at Chelsea Registry Office in April 2023, surrounded by friends and family.

Jamie celebrated with a simple post on Instagram that read ‘We got married!! England Wedding done now bring on Spain!! 💍.’

They then jetted off to Villa Las Sirenas – in Spain, obviously – a month later to celebrate with a second, more lavish, wedding ceremony.

Guests included former co-star Millie Mackintosh, Love Island’s Zara McDermott and Spencer Matthews.

Spencer, 36, was reportedly ‘forgotten’ on the invite list to the UK wedding but did MC for the Spanish second round.

As well as being a TV personality, the 30-year-old is a social media influencer and recently landed a job on Radio 1, stepping in for Vick Hope while she’s on maternity leave.

Just like on their podcast, Sophie and Jamie will be working side by side for the three weeks while Vick is off.

Sophie graduated from Newcastle University in 2015 with a degree in Media, Communications and Cultural Studies.

The Newlyweds podcast star candidly opened up on her marriage on an episode of the show, revealing that their relationship hits the rocks twice a year.

Sophie revealed that things often get so heated that her husband packs a bag and claims he’s walking out on her.

In one episode, Sophie told listeners: ‘When Jamie’s really, really angry with me, when we have had the worst fight ever, what he does is he’ll come in and he’ll go, Sophie – I’m leaving you.’

Sophie continued: ‘And he does it, maybe, I’d say twice a year. And I’ll go, okay. And he’ll be like “I don’t want you to react. But there’s no point in talking to me. I am leaving you. And I, I’ve got my backpack and I’m going” and I go, “all right.”’
