Millie Bobby Brown shocked fans with the announcement that she and husband Jake Bongiovi have adopted a baby girl.
The Stranger Things star, 21, shared the news in a joint post on social media with her husband Jake, 23.
‘This summer, we welcomed our sweet baby girl through adoption,’ she began.
‘We are beyond excited to embark on this beautiful next chapter of parenthood in both peace and privacy.’
She concluded: ‘And then there were 3. Love Millie and Jake Bongiovi.’
Millie and Jake – the son of rocker Jon Bon Jovi – tied the knot last May, a year after their engagement.

How long have Millie Bobby Brown and Jake Bongiovi been together?
The pair first sparked romance rumors in June 2021 when Bongiovi posted a photo of the two on Instagram, writing, ‘bff <3.’
They were spotted walking around New York City hand-in-hand later that month before making things Instagram official in November with a blurry photo taken on the London Eye.
After that, they were pretty inseparable and Jake has even joined Millie at several high-profile red carpet events, including the Baftas, Stranger Things season 4 launch party, and the premiere of Enola Holmes 2 in October.
During a November 2022 interview with WIRED, the actress shared how she met her man.
‘We met on Instagram,’ she said. ‘And we were friends for a bit, and then, what can I say?’
When did Millie Bobby Brown and Jake Bongiovi get married?
The pair got engaged in April 2023 with Millie announcing the news by posting a photo on Instagram captioned with lyrics from Taylor Swift’s Lover, writing, ‘I’ve loved you three summers now, honey, I want ’em all 🤍.’
In August 2023, Brown shared the details of the proposal with The Sunday Times, including that he proposed with one of her mother’s rings: ‘I’ve always loved that ring, it’s always stuck out to me, so she gave it to Jake. They were in cahoots about the whole proposal,’ she said.
‘I love that I can always keep a piece of my mum with me.’
The pair then privately tied the knot in 2024 at a ceremony that was reportedly a small affair with only friends and family in attendance.
‘Millie and Jake quietly said their vows in America last weekend,’ a source close to the couple told The Sun.
‘They are planning a bigger ceremony in the US later this year but now they have legally married and done all the paperwork.’
After the pair’s marriage was rumoured, Jon Bon Jovi was asked about the suspected nuptials and how the happy couple is doing.

He said: ‘They’re great, they’re absolutely fantastic.
‘It was a very small family wedding and the bride looked gorgeous, and Jake is happy as can be. Yeah, it’s true.’
When the engagement was first announced, Millie shared with WWD: ‘I think probably drawing the curtains, just because there are only so many moments in life that you get only once.
‘And to have everyone’s opinions and eyes looking at that just feels unnatural to me. So I feel it’s important to keep those things, those small precious moments in life, really close to your chest.’
What has Millie Bobby Brown said about having children?
Millie has been very open about her desire to be a mother in the past.
During a March 2025 appearance on the Smartless podcast, Millie shared that although she is ‘really young,’ starting a family is ‘definitely in [her] future.’
‘My mom actually had her first child at 21, and my dad was 19. And you know, it’s been my thing since before I met Jake,’ she said.
‘Since I was a baby, I told my mom, like, baby dolls. I wanted to be a mom just like the way my mom was to me.’
She added, ‘Jake knows how important it is to me and, of course, I want to focus on really establishing myself as an actor and as a producer, but I also find it’s so important to start a family for me, personally.’
