It’s a big month for Phil Foden with not only Euro 2024 – but also the announcement of a new baby on the way with girlfriend Rebecca Cooke.
The England footballer, 23, and Rebecca, thought to be 22, announced the happy news on their Instagram page in April.
Posting pictures of a lavish baby shower, the couple gave fans a rare glimpse into their very private relationship.
Rebecca doesn’t even have any public-facing social media, differing to the iconic wives and girlfriends (WAGs) we’ve come to love.
Long gone are the early 00s when WAGs famously took over a quiet town in Germany and partied up a storm, instead they are reportedly staying in hotels far away from the limelight.
This is in hopes the attention remains firmly on the pitch in Germany but curiosity remains so who is Rebecca and how did she meet the football star?

How long has Rebecca Cooke been with Phil Foden?
The couple are actually childhood sweethearts, having met when they were both at school around Manchester as Phil’s career skyrocketed.
It’s not known when or where exactly the pair met but the already scouted Phil attended Stockport Academy for a year before Manchester City sent him to St Bede’s College.
Phil – a great fishing enthusiast – is one of five siblings, with brother Callum, who is three years older, and younger siblings Kenzi, Lois, and Avayah.
Mum Claire said he was ‘the cheapest kid ever’, telling The Daily Telegraph his childhood was: ‘No games, no toys, nothing, just a football.’
They don’t publicly discuss their relationship but were spotted suffering a huge public bust-up whilst on holiday in Corfu in the summer of 2022 – ahead of the World Cup.

Phil reportedly lost his temper with Rebecca after she looked at his phone whilst he was swimming in the sea.
The footballer was previously accused of cheating in 2020 when he reportedly snuck two girls into his hotel room whilst playing in Iceland.
Nothing more has been said about the fallout, but things seem to be going well as they went for a tarot reading with her boyfriend ahead of the big games.
The psychic told The Sun: ‘I loved reading for Phil and Becca, both very spiritual and kind-hearted people! A lot of luck is coming Phil’s way for sure!’
Rebecca has been photographed with Phil at games constantly, usually bringing their kids with them.

Considering how long they’ve been together, very little is known about Rebecca.
Her boyfriend posts almost exclusively about football on social media so there are no hints there.

Their eldest child does have social media, with his Instagram account said to be ‘managed by parents’ which is used as a personal page for the family.
Rebecca has remained quiet about her career but it’s possible that with two young children and another on the way, she could be a stay-at-home mum.
At only 22 years old, Rebecca is one of the youngest WAGs, having been by Phil’s side as his star continued to rise on the pitch.

The couple used to live together in luxury in a £2million mansion in Bramhall, Manchester which the footballer bought when he turned 18 after his big Premier League breakthrough.

At the time Phil reportedly wanted to make sure he kept the family close, buying the property near his parents.
They’ve since moved to a £2.85million five-bedroom property mansion in Prestbury, Cheshire — just a stone’s throw away from Wayne and Coleen Rooney.
Do Phil Foden and Rebecca Cooke have children?
Having been together since childhood, the young couple already have two children and a third on the way, announced in April 2024.
Rebecca welcomed the couple’s son Ronnie in 2019 when the couple were just 18 years old.
The newborn was named after Phil’s grandad, who died aged 47 — he also has a 47 shirt and a tattoo on his neck in honour of him.
Phil is actually known as Ronnie himself to his family and friends, after mum Claire revealed he was nicknamed ‘Ronnie Roundhead’ because of the shape of his head as a child, and the name stuck.

‘I was there for the birth,’ Phil said when he became a dad for the first time. ‘I walked out of the room, gave it a little tear and then went back in like nothing happened.
‘I’m not one for crying in front of people. I like to be on my own, but I was there in the room, watched it happen and it was a special moment. Your life changes.’
Two years later, in July 2021, they welcomed daughter True and revealed they were expecting their third child together during his Euros 2024 run.
Some fans speculated that the blue balloons in the background could mean the baby is a boy but they haven’t confirmed anything.
