You might never have heard of either of them, but one of the biggest influencer break-ups is currently unfolding on social media.
After weeks of speculation, over the weekend Australian influencer Tammy Hembrow announced her impending divorce from her husband, Love Island star Matt Zukowski, just seven months after getting married.
In 2023 the couple got engaged after three months of dating, eventually getting married in a lavish event estimated to have cost around $220,000 (£110,000).
But a few days ago, Tammy, 31, confirmed their split. Posting a TikTok, she explained: ‘This is giving me so much anxiety … I wanted to finally tell you guys that I am going to be getting a divorce.’
Holding back tears, she added: ‘Did I think this was gonna happen? Did I want this? No. Obviously, when you marry someone, you do it thinking that it’s gonna be forever.’
Posting his own statement, Matt referenced doing ‘what is right for ourselves and her 3 children’, a detail that has riled many. Here’s everything we know about the split, which has seen many of their fans weighing in too.
Who is Tammy Hembrow?

One of Australia’s best-known influencers, Tammy has amassed an impressive 17 million Instagram followers over the years.
A decade on from starting her career, she is now worth around $50million (£25million).
After welcoming her son Wolf, Tammy began posting fitness videos, which saw her success reach new heights. She went on to launch her fashion brand Saski Collection.
In 2018 she also made global headlines after being taken away from Kylie Jenner’s 21st birthday party on a stretcher by paramedics (she later explained that she was suffering from jet lag and ‘collapsed’).

One of six children, Tammy and her sisters Emilee and Amy, who also have huge online followings, have often been called ‘the Australian Kardashians’.
However last week the family were also dragged into headlines after her younger half-brother Henry Thynne was released on parole after spending nearly a year in custody on domestic violence offences. He’s been charged with sexual assault, strangulation and stalking.
Tammy had previously distanced herself, shutting down claims she ever supported him or bailed him out.
Who did she date before Matt Zukowski?

Tammy was previously engaged to fellow influencer Reece Hawkins, who is father to her two eldest children – Wolf, 10, and Saskia, 8. Aged 19, they fell pregnant a month into dating. After welcoming their daughter, they got engaged but split the same year.
After they split in 2018, Tammy became engaged to former Ironman Matt Poole after a year together. Two weeks later they announced they were expecting, but broke up before daughter Posy was born in 2022.
But three months later they announced their split, with Tammy later saying he was ‘just a part of my life I’m choosing not to share anymore’.
A few months on, she told fans in an online Q&A: ‘Some people are just not meant to be together no matter how hard they try. We are much better as friends. Not that it’s anyone’s business.’
How did she meet Matt and when did they get married?

In October 2023, about a year after Tammy’s split from Matt, Love Island star Matt Zukowski slid into her DMs.
Matt, who appeared on the second season of the reality show, had dated The Bachelor Australia‘s Keira Maguire, with sources claiming they’d agreed to date publicly ‘for publicity’.
He also co-hosts the podcast Where’s Your Head At? with his ex-girlfriend and fellow Love Island alum, Anna McEvoy.

Within weeks of meeting Tammy, they ‘hard launched’ on social media, with Matt then proposing during a romantic holiday to the Maldives three months later.
They were then married in the coastal town of Byron Bay in November last year.
When did break-up rumours begin?

Months before Tammy and Matt’s wedding, he was accused of cheating after sending flirty messages to a woman after a night out.
In a screenshot the woman asked if he was still getting married, to which he replied: ‘Interesting, haha. And yes.’ He later claimed he was messaging the girl to set up one of his friends.
When news of his messages was reported, Tammy removed all photos of Matt from her Instagram, posting other snaps without her engagement ring.
Despite this, a few days later they were spotted at the cinema with her kids and shortly after confirmed they were back together.

In September her sisters then appeared on Matt’s podcast and didn’t hold back – grilling him and airing their concerns he was potentially using Tammy for her money. They called him ‘immature’ and said he was ‘delusional’ for proposing so quickly.
Throughout their relationship the couple were also seen having arguments in public several times, including at the Australian Open earlier this year when onlookers heard Tammy tell Matt to ‘get your stuff out of my house’.
In March Tammy removed the title ‘Mrs Zukowski’ from her Instagram bio.
After fans noticed the couple were rarely seen together in recent months, a few weeks ago Matt seemed to confirm their split when revealing he’d moved back to Melbourne from Tammy’s hometown of the Gold Coast.
What have each said about their split?

Over the weekend Tammy shared a seven-minute video on TikTok in which she revealed she was ‘going to be getting a divorce’.
Holding back tears she said she didn’t want to share details about her marriage break-down or ‘bring anyone down’.
‘Did I think this was gonna happen? Did I want this? No. Obviously, when you marry someone, you do it thinking that it’s gonna be forever. And I blame no one but myself, to be honest,’ she continued.
‘I feel like I’ve made not the best choices when it comes to relationships. And I feel like I’m really good at putting on rose-colored glasses or just getting swept up in it all.’
She went on to say the effects of the split on her children was ‘the worst part’.
‘I obviously feel awful. Nothing anyone could say could make me feel more s*** than I already do, like more humiliated…at the end of the day, I know this is what needs to happen, there’s no other option.’
Tammy also said going forward she would have her ‘eyes wide open’ and ‘listen to the people around me’. ‘Hopefully I finally learn from these mistakes.’
Soon after Matt shared a statement of his own.
‘It’s with a heavy heart I share that Tammy and I have decided to separate,’ he shared.
‘Both of us have struggled with making this decision however, we need to do what is right for ourselves and her three children. This wasn’t a decision we took lightly.

‘Our time together will always be cherished and never forgotten,’ he added before thanking fans for their support and asking for privacy.
Despite this, he was quickly caught out posting and liking shady comments about his break-up.
After liking a comment that said he was ‘free’ following his split, Matt then responded to a comment from someone who questioned how he could ‘stuff it up’.
‘You don’t know her…,’ he replied.
