Isla Fisher is stepping into a new chapter with a mix of raw honesty and optimism. Moving forward after a long marriage is never easy, but Fisher is embracing the challenge with optimism. The actress is opening up about life after her split from Sacha Baron Cohen.
In her Harper’s Bazaar Australia August cover story, the “Now You See Me: Now You Donât” actress revealed sheâs been navigating a period of transition following her divorce from actor Sacha Baron Cohen.
Navigating Change With Resilience

âIâm really excited for the next chapter,â Fisher, 49, told the magazine. âIâm refocusing on my career because previously I was very much focused on my kids, which I still am, obviously, because [theyâre] my true love. But Iâm enjoying tackling work again.â
Fisher candidly shared that sheâs had âa tough couple of yearsâ but is finding strength in rediscovery. âOne of the benefits of a challenging situation is the luxury of asking myself, âWhat would I like to do professionally and privately?ââ she explained.
âIâm trying to remind myself of my new identity as somebody outside of a partnership and to stay as buoyant as possible.â
A Marriage of Respect & Continued Support

Fisher and Cohen were together for more than two decades, having first met at a party in Sydney in 2001. They got engaged in 2004, married in 2010, and announced their divorce in 2023 after 13 years of marriage. The couple finalized the split in June and continues to co-parent their three children.
In a joint statement posted to Instagram Stories, the former couple wrote: âWe are proud of all we’ve achieved together and, continuing our great respect for each other, we remain friends and committed to co-parenting our wonderful children.â
How Fisher & Cohen Are Keeping It Amicable After the Split

Despite their separation, Fisher & Cohen have publicly supported each other. Fisher wished Cohen a Happy Fatherâs Day on Instagram, calling him âthe best father our children could hope for.â Meanwhile, Cohen left encouraging comments on her Valentineâs Day and Harperâs cover shoot posts, calling them âstunningâ and âgreat.â
On the work front, Fisher is keeping busy with several film projects. The exciting lineup includes the upcoming comedy “Spa Weekend” and the highly anticipated sequel “Now You See Me: Now You Donât”, set to hit theaters on November 14, 2025.
