The first season of the Celebrity Traitors is over, with 19 famous faces whittled down to one winner who took home £87,500 for charity.
It turned out that Alan Carr played the game the best, with the 49-year-old comedian and chat show host hiding his Traitor identity until after the game was over.
With the first edition of the Celebrity Traitors proving to be a resounding success with viewers, eyes have now turned towards future seasons of the show.
Season four of the civilian season will apparently be greeting us in ‘early 2026’, with the BBC teasing the unknown release date in a brand new trailer.
There’s obviously no concrete news yet on when the Celebrity Traitors will return, or who’s in the cast, but fans are already predicting the line-up of famous faces.
We asked Metro readers who they would most like to see at the roundtable, completing tasks, and committing murders in (presumably) 12 months time.
Bob Mortimer
High among the names put forward by Metro-reading fans of the Traitors was comedian Bob Mortimer, whose name was brought up by dozens of voters.

The 66-year-old TV host and comic, who was in a long-running comedy double act with Vic Reeves, has experience on panel shows and game shows.
For years, he was involved with the hilarious panel show Shooting Stars, and has also tried his hand at Taskmaster, Celebrity Squares, Would I Lie to You, and Last One Laughing.
It seems Bob has both the necessary experience and popularity to last a while on the Traitors, and having watched comedian Alan Carr go under the radar as a Traitor he might well have been inspired.
On Facebook, Suzy said: ‘Has to be Bob Mortimer, he can convince people that Chris Rea put an egg in his bath and he’d be hilarious.’
Bob was named among the famous faces rumoured to be joining the first season of the Celebrity Traitors, but maybe his appearance is being withheld for the future.
Ruth Jones
Picture it: a dozen celebrities are sitting at the roundtable, eager to debate over who’s a Faithful or not, but all of them are too anxious to speak, when a voice pipes up… ‘Oh! So who’s a Traitor then?’
Ruth Jones, 59, has been a leading name in British comedy for more than two decades now, with the Welsh writer and actress starring in some of our best-loved comedies.
She’s of course known best for playing Nessa in Gavin & Stacey, but has also competed on Would I Lie to You, the Big Fat Quiz of the Year, and Chris Moyles’ Quiz Night.
But as the first season of the Celebrity Traitors proved, you don’t exactly need to have shown expert sleuthing abilities in the past to make it far in the game.
What charity did Alan Carr choose after winning Celebrity Traitors?
Which charity did he choose?
Alan Carr revealed his £87,500 prize pot will be donated to children’s cancer charity Neuroblastoma UK
What is Neuroblastoma?
According to the charity’s own website, ‘Neuroblastoma is classified as an embryonal tumour, a type of cancer that develops from the cells left behind from a baby’s development in the womb. The cells from which it develops from are specific cells in the nervous system called neuroblasts, giving neuroblastoma its name.’
What does the charity do?
The organisation is a research charity hoping to ‘lead to more effective treatments and ultimately a cure for every child diagnosed with the disease’.

What did Alan Carr say?
‘The charity is so close to my heart that it all became a bit too much. Hopefully when people see how upset I was they won’t feel so bad that I killed all those national treasures.’
Greg Davies
Every gameshow needs a no-nonsense contestant, and fans are desperate for Greg Davies to show there are no flies on him during future seasons of the Celebrity Traitors.
It would be a fantastic opportunity for Greg, host of Taskmaster, to sit on the other side of the glass and experience what his Taskmaster contestants go through.
He’s been the Taskmaster for 10 years now, so it might be time for Claudia Winkleman to become a Taskmaster herself and watch Greg compete among other big names.
Greg, as well as being an actor on The Inbetweeners, has appeared on Never Mind the Buzzcocks and Ask Rhod Gilbert, showing that he’s no stranger to appearing on shows as himself.
Kathy Burke
A legend of sketch comedy, Kathy Burke has starred in some of Britain’s most adored shows, including French & Saunders and Harry Enfield and Chims.
The Bafta-nominated actress, 61, is also no stranger to the panel show world, having appeared on several celebrity competitions over the years.
She’s appeared on 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown, has starred a handful of times on Have I Got News for You, and recently appeared as a judge on RuPaul’s Drag Race UK.
Kathy’s also not a stranger to the Traitors’ penchant for the macabre, having hosted Where There’s a Will There’s a Wake – a podcast about death and funerals – for several years.

Helen Mirren
Graham Norton
Sandi Toksvig
Gary Lineker
Dawn French
John Bishop

James Acaster
Were James Acaster to be banished on the Celebrity Traitors, we imagine it would go something like this: ‘Started as a Traitor. Had a breakdown. Bon Appetit.’
The Off Menu host and comedian, 40, has more than enough experience with celebrity versions of reality competition shows, with some of his most famous moments coming on those shows.
In 2018, he appeared on Taskmaster alongside Greg Davies, finishing in fourth position after winning episodes three, six, and 10 during his time on the show.
He then famously appeared on a celebrity version of The Great British Bake Off, during which he attempted and failed to make flapjacks and suffered a breakdown as a result.
An appearance on Celebrity Mastermind also went awry for James, with scheduling conflicts leaving him unable to study for his specialist subject: the history of ice cream.
Here’s to more Acaster Disasters if he signs up for the Celebrity Traitors – and let’s not forget his Off Menu co-host Ed Gamble presents Uncloaked.
La Voix
La Voix was introduced to TV viewers on an ITV reality show, reintroduced on a BBC reality show and, after finishing as runner-up there, and then jumped into another BBC reality show almost immediately.
The drag artist and comic, 45, first competed on Britain’s Got Talent in 2014, though her audition was never shown. She made it past auditions but didn’t make it to the live finals.
She then finished 2nd in the sixth season of RuPaul’s Drag Race in 2024 before immediately jumping into Strictly Come Dancing for 2025.
La Voix, whose real name is Chris Dennis, is still dancing away on the BBC show at the time of writing, overcoming adversity in unfamiliar territory – that bodes well should she end up a Traitor.
Sue Vallia was supportive on Facebook: ‘I think La Voix from Strictly would be hilarious.’
Plus, La Voix has the advantage of knowing Alan Carr from her time on Drag Race UK – will she phone Alan up for tips on how to make sure she reigns supreme?
Alison Hammond
Imagine the scene: it’s the first episode of the Celebrity Traitors season two, Claudia sits down and asks Alison Hammond if she’s learned anything from watching old seasons of the show.
Unable to contain her laughter, Alison blurts out: ‘I’ve never seen it!’
Having co-hosted the Great British Bake Off for a little while now, Alison is a foremost expert on the stresses, trials, and tribulations of British reality TV.
In fact, that’s where she got her start, appearing on the third season of Big Brother back in 2002, only making it to day 15 at the time after being evicted.
Elsewhere, she’s competed on Celebrity Fit Club, I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here, Strictly Come Dancing, and on the Celebrity Bake Off for Stand Up to Cancer.
She’d definitely be going into any prospective Celebrity Traitors season with a lot of experience of competing on reality gameshows.
