Now she’s back in Las Vegas after a cross-country road trip, and she drummed up some drama quickly. Earlier today, Evans’ teenage son, Jace Evans, took to Instagram to “expose” his mother. He shared a series of texts that don’t paint the former <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/tag/teen-mom-2/?sw”><em>Teen Mom 2</em> </a>star in a good light. He’s only been back in her care for a few weeks. </p>

In the past, the teen, who previously lived with <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/news/jenelle-and-barbara-evans-feuding-2022-to-present.html/?swcfpc=1″>his grandmother, Barbara Evans</a>, kept a low profile online, while his mother publicized his struggles. This time, he’s flipping the script and posting texts that depict a hostile and largely detached mother-son relationship.</p>

<p id=”par-3_56″>In a series of text message screenshots posted to <a href=”https://www.instagram.com/jace_vahn/”>Instagram</a>, Jenelle threatens the teen, accuses him of lying about David Eason, and cusses at him. While the younger Evans didn’t post full conversations, he did share enough to show that his largely absent mother was directly involved in the altercation that led to David Eason’s arrest.</p>
<p id=”par-4_56″>The teen, who has bounced between Evans’ care, the state’s care, and random relatives since his mother gained custody of him in 2023, didn’t caption all of his uploads, but one caption feels particularly telling. In one caption, the 16-year-old says he needs to go back to North Carolina, and that his mother was “really unstable.”</p>

He’s had a series of issues since arriving in the city in May 2024. His mother called 911 on him after an argument. She sent him to stay with <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/news/jenelle-evans-caught-in-a-lie-jace-evans-moved-from-his-fathers-florida-home-already-according-to-insider.html/”>his father in Florida</a> and refused to consider therapeutic schooling options.</p>

<p id=”par-6_63″>While it was initially difficult to determine if the Instagram account actually belonged to the teen, Jenelle Evans has confirmed that the texts are real. Shortly after Jace uploaded the screenshots, she took to her own Instagram account to post a message to her followers. She tried to explain why he posted the messages. Still, she did not address the messages’ content. </p>

<p id=”par-7_99″>In her stories, Jenelle said that she loves her children and she is dedicated to helping them succeed. She went on to claim her teen son posted the messages after she “rightfully” disciplined him. Evans also blamed the teen’s “medical diagnoses” for the outburst. The update claims it has been difficult to navigate his needs and find him resources. She finished the post by asking for kindness, empathy, and prayers. In a follow-up post, she airs more of her son’s business, claiming he’s been in trouble with the law. There is no indication that this has been the case.</p>
<p id=”par-8_39″>It is unclear what medical diagnosis Evans was referring to. The teen was working with a counselor and on <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/news/reality-tv/former-teen-mom-2-stars-jenelle-and-barbara-evans-are-feuding-following-jace-evans-runaway-incident.html/”>ADHD medication </a>prior to moving in with Evans. It’s unclear if the teen is still receiving those services and medication.</p>
