Jamie Chung has revealed exactly why Thanksgiving is such a big deal for her and her husband.

Actress and former reality star Chung, 42, is married to actor and musician Bryan Greenberg. The couple wed in 2015, having met in 2012, and share twin sons together.

Chung is, of course, most famous for appearing in the the MTV reality series “The Real World: San Diego” and movies like 2009’s “Dragonball Evolution,” 2010’s “Grown Ups,” 2011’s “The Hangover Part II,” and 2014’s “Big Hero 6.” Greenberg is best known for appearing in television shows like “How to Make It in America,” “The Mindy Project,” “One Tree Hill,” and “Suits LA.”

In an exclusive interview with E! News, Chung revealed the reasons behind Thanksgiving meaning so much to the couple.

Jamie Chung told E! News that the main reasons Thanksgiving means so much to her and Bryan Greenberg are because, in her case, Korean people love to eat and, in both their cases, their family tradition is to make a big deal of it.

Chung said, “Korean people love to eat, and sharing a meal together is really important for bonding and all that good stuff. So, Thanksgiving has always been a big holiday in my family, and Thanksgiving is also a big holiday in Brian’s family.”

Along with their twin boys, who are now four, Chung and Greenberg have alternated where they’ve spent Thanksgiving in recent years, and this year it’s going to be with the latter’s family.

“Our plan is to go back to the Midwest to visit Brian’s family. We’ll just kind of hang low,” said the actress.

Jamie Chung and Bryan Greenberg’s plans for Christmas this year are a little more adventurous than their low-key Thanksgiving.

The couple are planning on heading into the great outdoors to continue a longstanding tradition from Chung’s youth.

Chung explained, “I think this will be the first year that we teach the kids how to ski for Christmas, because that was a big thing. Instead of Christmas gifts, my parents would save up and they would take us on a ski trip. We stayed at the Circus Circus in Reno.”

She continued, “It wasn’t super lavish. There’s a way to do it, yeah. But it’s a core memory. We hope to pass that on to our kids, because it’s fun being in the mountains and in the snow.”

Chung navigates motherhood with great care and devotion, and has leaned into each stage of her twin boys’ lives with every ounce of her being. However, she also knows that it’s extremely important to focus on herself to ensure she’s a good parent.

She said, “You sacrifice a lot of yourself and your identity to be with your kids and to ensure that they have a really healthy and imaginative experience in childhood. But most importantly, you realize you have to do the work on yourself. You want to teach your children patience, problem-solving and good communication skills.”

Chung elaborated, “If you don’t have that, then you got to work on it yourself, to live by example and to really implement those foundational things. You have to do the work is what I realized. You really have to work on yourself.”

That’s truly great advice.

We hope Jamie Chung, Bryan Greenberg, their two sons, and their entire family have the most wonderful Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays this year.
