Jamie Lee Curtis is obviously famous for her acting skills; however, she’s also well known for being honest and straightforward. That is exactly what her social media followers saw when she recently took to Instagram to share a makeup-free selfie.
In the caption, she wrote, “It’s Freaky Friday. For the last weeks I have been promoting #ellamckay, Jim Brooks’s new masterwork about families and how to survive them as well as two different public celebrations of women in positions of power and possibility @variety @womeninfilmla and I have had a fantastic team of helpers both in my home and in my professional life that have helped me present a very pulled together version of myself…”
She went on to say, “but the truth is that we all wake up and look in the mirror and when we do, we’re looking at the problem and the solution and the possibilities and right now I’m feeling hopeful and happy and very much here with all of you trudging our road of happy destiny, together!”
She added, “MAKE GOOD CHOICES today if you have them and fight for your RIGHT to have them if you don’t.”
The Star’s Followers Loved Her Selfie
When Jamie Lee shared a look at herself without makeup on Instagram, her followers left plenty of comments showing their appreciation.

Jamie Lee Isn’t Into Altering Her Appearance In Certain Ways
GettyJamie Lee may pop on some makeup when she attends an industry event, but she’d rather keep things natural when she can. That includes not altering her appearance in other more permanent ways.
“The current trend of fillers and procedures, and this obsession with filtering, and the things that we do to adjust our appearance on Zoom are wiping out generations of beauty,â the star told Fast Company (via People). âOnce you mess with your face, you can’t get it back.”
She also told The Guardian, “I believe that we have wiped out a generation or two of natural human [appearance]. The concept that you can alter the way you look through chemicals, surgical procedures, fillers â thereâs a disfigurement of generations of predominantly women who are altering their appearances. And it is aided and abetted by AI, because now the filter face is what people want.”
“Iâm not filtered right now,” she continued. “The minute I lay a filter on and you see the before and after, itâs hard not to go: âOh, well that looks better.â But whatâs better? Better is fake. And there are too many examples â I will not name them â but very recently we have had a big onslaught through media, many of those people.”
