In photos, Rodriguez radiated joy as she cradled her baby bump, wearing a floral floor-length dress that gently hugged her silhouette.

The actress wasn’t alone for the big moment. Her husband, actor Joe LoCicero, 38, joined her on the carpet, where the couple embraced and smiled for photos.

The two, who married in 2019, looked completely in sync as they shared the happy news. Gina and Joe are already parents to son Charlie Ray, whom they welcomed in 2023.

As per People, his name carries deep personal meaning — both “Charlie” and “Ray” are tributes to late family members.

Back in January, Rodriguez spoke to People about life with Charlie. The actress shared why she had mixed feelings about expanding their family. “I’m afraid to have a second because of how much I love this guy. I already feel guilty about not being available to him at all times,” she said.

Still, she acknowledged she knew it was coming eventually: “It’s gonna happen anyways, so I’m not trying to force it sooner than it needs to.”

Rodriguez has made it clear that she’s a hands-on mom — and proud of it. “Since my baby’s been born, we don’t do nannies, we don’t do childcare — it is us,” she shared with People in 2024.

“I put my child to sleep every single night for the entirety of his existence… I am not a human being. I am my child’s pillow.”

Gina shared that her commitment is deeply personal. “This might be my only baby, so I just wanted to do it the way I wanted to do it.”

Gina Rodriguez met Joe LoCicero back in 2016 while filming Jane the Virgin. Their connection was instant, and the rest, as they say, is history.

LoCicero is an actor with credits in “The Bold and the Beautiful” and the romantic comedy “Just Swipe”. He even appeared alongside Rodriguez in Jane the Virgin, as well as in her films “Miss Bala” and “Someone Great”.

Before they tied the knot, Gina opened up about how dating Joe was a turning point for her.

“Because I put myself first,” she told Cosmopolitan in 2019. “For so long, I put every man in front of me. As a successful woman, it is so hard because of our cultural norms that, like, the man has to be the breadwinner! And the man has to be the more powerful one.”
