Former NFL player Jason Kelce attended the funeral of his father Ed Kelceâs partner, Mauren Maguire, on Thursday, August 7. Maguireâs passing was announced on an obituary page, which revealed she died on August 1, 2025. She was 74.

The celebration of her life took place in Gladwyne, Pennsylvania. Photos from the funeral procession were obtained by TMZ on Friday, August 8. The images show Jason wearing black suit pants and a matching black tie. He was photographed walking with his wife, Kylie Kelce, who opted for a simple but sophisticated black dress.
Jasonâs father, Ed, was photographed in a gray suit and can be seen assisting in the carrying of Maguire’s casket. The role of pallbearer is traditionally given to those who were close to the deceased.
Travis and Taylor Swift were not in attendance. However, Swift did meet Maguire, and one of their playful exchanges was highlighted by Ed, who told Los Angeles Times in February 2024, how his girlfriend had joked that he was her boyfriend while he posed for photos with Swift.

Ed shared the obituary statement from Stretch Funeral Home on his Facebook on August 2, 2025, but chose not to reveal more details in his post.
The obituary stated that Maguire âpassed away peacefully surrounded by her loved onesâ and that she lived in the suburbs of Philadelphia, âwhere she built a warm and vibrant home filled with love, laughter, and family traditions.â The statement also revealed that she had four children and six grandchildren.
There is also mention of Ed and the partnership they shared later in life.
âMaureen found joy in lifeâs simple pleasures. She loved the beach â especially the shore â and had a deep affection for dogs. In recent years, she spent treasured time in Cape May with her family, enjoying peaceful days by the ocean,â the statement reads. âShe also grew an unexpected love for football later in life, sharing many laughs and adventures with her beloved friend Ed Kelce and her loyal dog Butch. Together, they traveled often and attended football games and concerts, and embraced every opportunity to enjoy life to the fullest.â
Maguire was described as a woman with “impeccable taste and signature style” and someone who was “famous for throwing the best parties, always full of warmth, laughter, and unforgettable food.”
The obituary paints a beautiful picture of the woman with whom Ed shared his heart. It ended with a heartfelt statement. “Her kindness, wit, and gentle strength left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know her,” the obituary reads.
