“I’d been kicking around Hollywood for a long time, but nobody certainly knew who I was. My whole career launched out of that character,â he said. The exposure led to major rolesâboth on TV and the big screen.
From Greyâs to ‘P.S. I Love You’ and ‘Watchmen’
Morgan said his role in the 2007 film P.S. I Love You came directly from his Greyâs Anatomy performance.
âP.S. I Love You I got because of that show,” he shared.
Even Zack Snyder, the director of “Watchmen”, was influenced by Denny. â[Director] Zack Snyder told me that he cast me in Watchmen because he saw me as Denny. How you watch Denny and go, âWell, that’s the nihilistic Comedian right there,â is beyond me,â Morgan joked.
Jeffrey Dean Morganâs story is proof that one roleâat the right timeâcan change a life. After years of grinding, Greyâs Anatomy gave him the platform he needed. And the rest, as they say, is history.
