Jennifer Aniston has finally confirmed her relationship with Jim Curtis in a touching Instagram post marking his birthday.
The Friends star, 56, first set tongues wagging that she was dating wellness professional Jim, 50, earlier this year when they were spotted on a romantic break in Mallorca.
After months of rumours about her dating life, the actor shared an Instagram post confirming her relationship status with Jim.
She shared a black and white image of her standing behind the performer with her arms wrapped around him, both beaming.
In the caption, she wrote: ‘Happy birthday my love. Cherished ❤️.’
Jim responded to the post with a kissing face emoji, sharing a series of photos from the celebrations on his own page, none of which included Jennifer.
’50 and feeling good! Birthday recap part 1. Thank you for all the wishes and love. So grateful for you my friends, family and community,’ he wrote alongside the images.
Body language expert Judi James explained to Metro that the picture is very indicative of Jen’s feelings towards her partner rather than his own.
‘This is clearly a gorgeous photo, but the body language is hopefully not indicative of their relationship as it suggests Jennifer has her man “trapped” in this encircling arm clasp with the hands firmly joined in front,’ she explained.
‘The pose also takes her out of the spotlight and places him into it, whereas with any celebrity relationship, it is usually good to emphasize that the new partner is not in it for any fame by association.
‘It seems to have been chosen because it makes Jim look very desirable and almost literally a good “catch”. As Jen clings lovingly, he’s left responding to the cameras rather than her, with no chance of any eye contact to give clues about the real nature of the relationship.
‘Jen’s gesture seems to suggest she believes she’s got a good man here and that she’s not letting him go. His hands on her hands is a reciprocal gesture but this is very much a pose that proves Jen’s feelings for him rather than the other way round.’
Jennifer was previously married to Brad Pitt from 2000 until 2005, and Justin Theroux from 2011 until 2017.
Jim, meanwhile, previously wrote in his memoir about a relationship with a woman he named ‘Lucy Lou’ whom he planned to propose to.
He said: ‘We first met while self-helping at a leadership course in New York City. I can still remember the first time we made eye contact: My mind went blank for a moment just looking at her.
‘We were drawn to each other as if we were meant for something more, and we were.’
He continued: ‘We became close friends and each other’s greatest support over the course of the six-month training and lovers after that.
‘I couldn’t imagine my life without her. In fact, doing so created some anxiety.’
Sources told People that Jennifer and Jim met earlier this year through mutual friends, bonding over their shared interest in wellness and mindfulness.
Jim recently publicly supported Jennifer when he attended the season three premiere of her hit drama series The Morning Show.
In August, a source told The Daily Mail: ‘They do everything together, they are always together, and if they have to be away from each other, they are on the phone all the time. They are so hot and heavy, it’s crazy.
The insider continued: ‘The amazing thing is that they click really well because they have the same interests like meditation, yoga, therapy, and dogs.’
Last month, Jennifer hit out at the ‘absolute lies’ that Oceans Eleven star Brad left her over her fertility struggles.
‘They didn’t know my story,’ she told Harpers Bazaar, ‘They didn’t know what I’d been going through for twenty years to try to pursue a family because I don’t go out there and tell them my medical woes.’
She continued to open up, saying, ‘That’s not anybody’s business. But there comes a point when you can’t not hear it – the narrative about how I won’t have a baby, won’t have a family, because I’m selfish, a workaholic. It does affect me – I’m just a human being. We’re all human beings.’
