Jennifer Aniston has spoken about her boyfriend Jim Curtis for the first time, after going public with their relationship.
Jennifer, 56, first set off the rumour mill that she was dating wellness professional Jim, 50, earlier this year when they were spotted on a romantic trip to Mallorca.
Months later, the Friends star shared an Instagram post confirming her relationship status with Jim as she called him her ‘love’.
‘Happy birthday my love. Cherished ❤️,’ read the caption of the black and white image showing Jennifer with her arms wrapped around Jim.
Jim responded to the post with a kissing face emoji.
Now in a new interview with Elle, the star has spoken about her relationship, speaking about his job and how ‘normal’ he is.
‘Hypnotism is one of the many things that he does,’ she said in the interview. ‘He’s quite extraordinary, and helps many, many people.
‘He’s very special, very normal, and very kind, and wants to help people heal, move through their trauma and stagnation into clarity.
‘It’s a beautiful thing to commit your life to,’ she said.
Jim is a transformational coach who has developed a signature, hypno-Coaching approach. His website explains that he helps ‘release subconscious blocks holding you back, rewire your inner programming, and awaken the truth of who you really are.’
Sources told People that Jennifer and Jim met earlier this year through mutual friends, bonding over their shared interest in wellness and mindfulness.
Her ex-husband Justin Theroux liked Jennifer’s birthday dedication to Jim on social media, showing support for his ex-wife, with whom he has remained friends since their 2017 separation.
Jennifer was previously married to Justin from 2011 until 2017 and Brad Pitt from 2000 until 2005.
When Aniston and Brad Pitt split, she was 35 — and immediately confronted with the narrative that her husband had left her because she wouldn’t give him children.
In October, the star revealed her secret 20-year fertility struggle.
‘They didn’t know my story,’ she told Harper’s Bazaar, ‘They didn’t know what I’d been going through for twenty years to try to pursue a family because I don’t go out there and tell them my medical woes.’
She continued to open up, saying: ‘That’s not anybody’s business. But there comes a point when you can’t not hear it – the narrative about how I won’t have a baby, won’t have a family, because I’m selfish, a workaholic. It does affect me – I’m just a human being. We’re all human beings.’
