Jennifer Lawrence and Leonardo DiCaprio discussed what they perceived as their bad habits during a sit-down for Variety’s “Actors on Actors.”

“I think I shoot out a lot of ideas, sometimes unnecessarily,” DiCaprio said. He continued, “It’s kind of like a shotgun spray of anything that comes to mind, and a lot of that may waste time for the focus of what we already know.”

Lawrence answered, “That sounds helpful. Because if it’s not useful, then you just move on.”

“Well, sometimes maybe it steers away from what is obvious,” DiCaprio answered. However, Lawrence argued that his ideas might sometimes, so she thought his “bad habit” was a good thing.

As for Lawrence, she said, “My bad habit is that I am so good at letting go at the end of the day, that I don’t think about the next day.”

She explained that while getting ready in hair and makeup, she has to scramble to learn her lines, which affects her acting in front of the cameras.

“It makes me not go crazy, but the next morning is hell,” the “Silver Linings Playbook” star quipped.

Lawrence & DiCaprio Recalled Having to Recite Tough Lines

Lawrence shared in the Variety talk that while filming “Silver Linings Playbook,” she had to memorize a bunch of sports stats, which were difficult to remember.

“It’s just numbers and sports, which I don’t care about … but it turned out great,” she recalled.

The mom of two then said, “I nailed it on the first take, and then I [expletive] up every single other take until we finally moved on.”

DiCaprio lamented about not being able to say the tongue twister, “Spruce Goose,” while filming “The Aviator,” and told Lawrence, “I couldn’t, literally couldn’t say the words.”

“It’s humiliating, and it’s like going to school with your underwear on,” the “Titanic” actor admitted.
