Candid queen Jessie J has revealed she regrets not saying ‘goodbye’ to her ‘old boob’ as she recovers from a mastectomy.
The 37-year-old singer was gearing up for a major comeback but a shock early breast cancer diagnosis has halted her return to the spotlight.
Real name Jessica Ellen Cornish, Jessie said she is going to ‘disappear’ for a bit as she underwent surgery shortly after her Capital Summertime Ball performance.
Despite teasing her disappearance, her social media has been busy as ever, with the star keeping fans up to date with her recovery.
‘2 weeks post surgery. Had my drain out 2 nights ago,’ the Price Tag icon shared in an Instagram story. ‘She said breathe in and take a hard breathe out. She whipped that thang out so quick.
‘Woii oii. Weirdest feeling. But so nice to have it out after 12 days.’

Jessie previously shared she had received the health news just before the release of her song No Secrets in April.
In June, she underwent a mascetomy which the Domino singer joked had left her with ‘wonky boobs’, creating a little difficulty with her outfits until she ‘matches them up’.
Taking a break from her signature comedic personality, Jessie revealed she ‘went into survival mode’ after her diagnosis.
She shared: ‘There was so much going on with appointments and in my mind esp with a toddler I had just moved and was about to start this campaign after 8 years away. Mad.
‘I didn’t really have a lot of time to process what was happening or what was going to happen. So I’m currently experiencing some delayed sadness and frustration by having time to process what IS happening.’

Jessie continued: ‘A little disappointed in myself I didn’t say goodbye to my old boob enough. Sounds silly but that’s where I’m at. Again that’s my journey. I’m sure others feel different.
‘But for me I didn’t think beyond the surgery. I was just being strong. Well now I’m here and letting myself be angry and sad and all the things. Just for a few days.
‘Then I will sew some padding in a bra to even them out order some t-shirts and crack tf on’.
Jessie has not clarified if the cancer is all gone yet, as she was forced to clarify that she was hopeful in a previous post, which had been misunderstood.

The Living My Best Life singer had listed various pros post-surgery, which included watching Love Island ‘guilt-free’ and the fact her mum was living with them.
In another post, she thanked her ‘superhero’ mum who dropped everything to help Jessie and her partner — professional basketball player Chanan Colman — with their son, Sky.
The couple welcomed their first child in May 2023, with Jessie getting lots of praise over her candid updates on her postpartum and life as a mum.
Jessie has promised that when she is ready, she will finally make her comeback with ‘massive t**s and more music.’
Until then, she’ll be on the sofa watching Love Island if anyone needs her.
