Roberts’ face lit up as she reflected on the effortless connection she shared with Finney on set. “You know, it doesn’t take an enormous amount of effort to do acting,” she said.

“But it was so easy, that movie. Everybody was so easy. There was just a flow. The days were great, and it was just a job that felt very kind to the inside of me.”

Her voice softened as she spoke about her late co-star, her eyes welling with emotion. “He made everything so easy,” she said, recalling Finney’s warmth, humor, and gentle spirit that made every day of filming feel special.

Fond Memories from ‘Erin Brokovich’ Set

The actress fondly recalled one of her favorite memories from filming in a small California town, where the cast stayed together at a local Holiday Inn.

“In the center of this big parking lot where the Holiday Inn was, there was a one-screen movie theater,” Roberts shared. “Steven Soderbergh would bring movies for us to watch because there wasn’t much else to do.”

She smiled as she recounted a hilarious moment. “One weekend he had Animal House, and Albert showed up in his bed sheet [fashioned like a toga] and said, ‘I thought it was a thing. I thought that we were all gonna do this,’” Roberts said with a laugh.
