Speaking to Vogue in June, the “May December” star admitted, “You think that in your life youâre like, ‘I understand change.’ You donât. Itâs that thing that they always tell you: nothing is constant except for change.”
On BBC Radio 4âs Womanâs Hour, she expanded on the transition as her kids moved into adulthood. “A lot of people would say to me, ‘Congratulations, you did it,’ when my kids went off to college,” Moore shared. “But I don’t feel done, and you’re not done, you’re never done.”
As she explained, “The stage of them transitioning from your house to a university or job, that’s another place for them developmentally and another place for you developmentally. It’s not like it’s over, but it’s an opportunity to take another step.”
