Justin Timberlake fans have proclaimed that his tour was ‘already ruined’ after his strange behavior in a re-emerged social media video from a Las Vegas show.
The SexyBack singer, 43, made headlines this week after reportedly getting arrested on a DWI (drinking while intoxicated) charge. He was later released without bail with a court date set for July.
The Grammy-winning artist was pulled over while staying in the Hamptons town of Sag Harbor by a cop who didn’t recognise him as Justin complained this would ‘ruin the world tour’, according to a PageSix source.
The star has now re-embarked on his Forget Tomorrow World Tour with his first stop at United Center in Chicago, Illinois on Friday night.
‘We’ve been together through ups and downs, lefts and rights. It’s been a tough week, but you’re here and I’m here, and nothing can change this moment right now,’ The chart-topping artist told the cheering crowd.
But in a recently resurfaced video from his Las Vegas show in May, fans have pointed out his concerningly alert expression including wide, unblinking eyes that are tinged slightly red.
In the video he is doing a call-and-response with the audience, as they cheer him on with his back-up dancers surrounding him.
The startling appearance, however, has made fans question his sobriety across the tour, in light of the recent arrest.
‘His eyes told me everything I needed to know. this is real life now. it’s beyond memes. this is blatant,’ @Miss Sassbox wrote on social media.
‘This is going to ruin the tour. It was already ruined,’ @jonnydodds commented.
‘Those eyes though… dude is either not slept in a week or is going for round 2,’ @bostoncashews echoed.
‘He doesn’t look okay……..’ @oasisraindrops added.
The singer has sparked discourse across social media following his arrest.
Shortly after the incident his ex-girlfriend Britney Spears posted a cryptic post to Instagram of a cocktail with the caption ‘It’s the simple things you know!’ causing fans to speculate if it was linked to Justin’s arrest.
While comedian Ricky Gervais captialised on the moment to promote his vodka brand in a controversial quip on social media.
This is not the first time the former NSYNC has been landed in hot water due to alcohol.

In 2019, he publicly apologised to his wife, Jessica Biel, 42, after he was spotted holding hands with his Palmer co-star, Alisha Wainwright. He called the interaction a ‘lapse in judgment’ after drinking ‘way too much’ in a now-deleted Instagram post.
It is unclear how much of the World Tour will be affected following the arrest but his current court date, July 26 coincides with his Poland dates.
