Summer is sadly winding down, but Kate Hudson is enjoying some time away in a place she loves most: Colorado. Of course, the âRunning Pointâ star was looking good in a bikini while doing it.
âSoul Resetâ Trip to Colorado
On Thursday, August 7, Hudson shared some photos on her Instagram of the trip. She captioned the photos, âSoul reset,â as she indulged in some downtime with her family in her home state of Colorado.
The first photo shows Hudson, 48, posing in a brown string bikini while holding a guitar in her hand. There are also some selfies taken on horseback and while biking around the beautiful surroundings.
Hudsonâs daughter Rani Rose can be seen in a few of the photos. One of those photos happens to be of the mother-daughter pair enjoying a drink. In that photo, Hudson can be seen wearing a cream cowboy hat that happened to complement Raniâs turquoise cowboy hat, which had a pink ribbon.
Dakota Johnson Joined Kate Hudson on Vacation
While the photos included selfies and pictures of her daughter, there also happened to be some other familiar faces in the mix.
In the second photo, Dakota Johnson can be seen sitting on a couch in a cabin next to Hudson. Rani happened to be cuddled up in Johnsonâs lap, while Hudsonâs mom, Goldie Hawn, smiled behind the trio.
Of course, Johnson and Hudson have a long history together. Johnson happens to be the daughter of Hawnâs longtime friend Melanie Griffith, so they have spent a lot of time together while growing up in the industry.
The duo made headlines recently when Johnson soaked up the sun alongside Hudson while yachting in Ibiza. It just so happened that Tom Brady joined them aboard the yacht for a birthday celebration.
That trip happened to come in July 2025, a month after news broke that Johnson split with Coldplayâs frontman Chris Martin after their nearly eight-year, on-and-off relationship.
PEOPLE reported that Johnson was âdoing wellâ since the split. They added that the âsplit wasnât exactly a shock,â as Johnson and Martin âhad the same issues for a while.â
They continued, saying, âShe wants to live her life very intentionally â she doesnât want to have any regrets. She loves all her creative projects and is excited about her career. Johnson believes there is more to life than work, though. She wants a meaningful life on all levels.â
It looks like no regrets were had from either Johnson or Hudson on the âsoul resetâ trip to Colorado.
