Louise Harland revealed that William told her that Orla sleeps with the couple.</p>
<p id=”par-4_61″>Hello! reported Harland later told Hits Radio Cornwall: “[William] said that his little dog sleeps on the bed with them at night, with him and Kate. [He was] absolutely in love with my little dog. He asked what breed he was and he’s never met one of those breeds, he’s a Cockerjack, so he’s a little bit of a unique combination.”</p>

<p id=”par-5_43″>Orla has been part of Prince William and Kate Middleton’s home since 2020. The dog was gifted to the couple by Kate’s brother, James Middleton. Orla was the second dog James gave the couple. The first was Lupo who died in November 2020.</p>
<p id=”par-6_50″>He told <a href=”https://www.hellomagazine.com/royalty/719423/james-middleton-wonderful-fatherhood-supporting-sister-kate-exclusive/” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>Hello!</a> he believes the cocker spaniel supported his sister as she <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/kate-middleton-changed-cancer-diagnosis.html/?swcfpc=1″>battled cancer</a> throughout 2024. James said, “I know how much the dogs, for me, have helped in taking your mind off something. So I’m certain that for them, Orla is doing her job in supporting her family.”</p>
<p id=”par-7_55″>Orla was featured in the <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/kate-middleton-intimate-cancer-video-saved-monarchy-incredible-vulnerability.html/?swcfpc=1″>Princess of Wales’s video message</a> confirming that she had finished chemotherapy. At the beginning of the clip, Orla runs alongside William, Kate, and their children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis. The four-legged family member was also visible with the couple as she lay a picnic blanket on the beach. </p>
<p id=”par-8_29″>Orla was also featured in Princess Charlotte’s seventh birthday portrait, taken by the Princess of Wales. The images were taken in Norfolk near the family’s country home, Anmer Hall, on the Sandringham Estate. </p>

<p id=”par-9_40″>In April 2024, Prince William visited a youth-focused farm and revealed that Orla isn’t the family’s only pet. He revealed the Wales clan also has a guinea pig in a video clip shared by Victoria Ward of The Telegraph on <a href=”https://twitter.com/victoria_ward/status/1783492343187861658″ target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>X</a>. </p>
<p id=”par-10_19″>However, William claimed his kids always forgot to clean the animal’s cage. Therefore by default, it became his job.</p>
<p id=”par-11_19″>William met a guinea pig named Snowflake during his visit. It appeared William was very comfortable around the animal.</p>
<p id=”par-12_22″>“These guinea pigs are very well-loved, they look extremely cozy,” Prince William claimed. “Hello, hi!” said the prince to the small animal.</p>
<p id=”par-13_30″>Prince William grew up around animals as a child. His parents King Charles and Princess Diana had a jack russel terrier named Tigga and a labrador named Harvey. </p>
