Eagle-eyed fans noticed the 46-year-old had reacted to the rumored pairing by “liking” a May 1 Instagram post by the Daily Mail which bore the headline, “Tom Cruise and Ana de Armas love affair confirmed.” The story suggested Cruise and the 37-year-old beauty had “confirmed their love affair is real” by flying into London together ahead of de Armas’ birthday.
The outlet claims another of Cruise’s exes, 51-year-old Penelope Cruz, is “happy her ex-boyfriend has found new love.” The Mail reported in May they were told by an unnamed source that “Ana has said that Penelope is happy for her, she approves.” The source also said, “They know each other from the movie and also they have friends in common in Madrid from when Ana lived there for a while,” according to the story.

On July 17, 2025, Page Six reported the performers had been photographed by Backgrid spending time together in Menorca. In the shots, the pair can be seen sitting on a boat across from each other. They both looked relaxed in lightweight summer wear as they shielded their faces from the sun under hats.
E! News called the excursion “an intimate yacht date” and reminded fans the pair is set to star across from each other in the upcoming nautical action film “Deeper,” to be directed by Doug Liman. They outlet also pointed out that de Armas appeared to rest her hand on Cruise’s leg in one of the shots.
As you know, the “Mission Impossible” star and de Armas first sparked romance rumors around Valentine’s Day 2025 after being spotted together at a dinner. However, Elle pointed out that the pair’s agents were also at the dinner, and said a source told people that the two were simply “discussing potential collaborations down the line.”

Ana de Armas’ John Wick film “Ballerina” dropped June 6, 2025 and Tom Cruise enthusiastically supported the movie.
Discussing the project with the Associated Press, Cruise said, “I love John Wick and what those guys do. I know what it takes to create these kinds of stories. Now you have ‘Ballerina’ coming out with Ana. That’s outstanding.” He emphasized that the movie was on his list of summer films he was “really excited about” before giving more praise to de Armas.
“She’s gonna kill it. Really, really talented.”
