Kelly Ripa has been noticeably absent from âLive With Kelly and Markâ this week, leaving fans wondering about the whereabouts of the beloved co-host.
Since 2023, Ripa and Mark Consuelos have been co-hosting the daytime talk show together. However, Ripa, who has been a permanent co-host since 2001, has been absent, with a rotation of guest co-hosts stepping in.
Where Is Kelly Ripa on âLiveâ This Week?
Fans of âLive With Kelly and Markâ may be wondering where Ripa is this week, but it looks like sheâs just out for summer vacation, PEOPLE stated. The last time she appeared on the show was Friday, August 1.
The vacation seems to be much-needed for the co-host, who has had a busy few weeks. In addition to her co-hosting duties, she and Consuelos have been busy promoting their new ESPN docuseries, âRunning With the Wolves.â
The show premiered on July 29 and follows Ripa and Consuelosâ journey as new co-owners of a popular Italian soccer team. In addition, Ripa also appeared on an episode of Kylie Kelceâs podcast. âNot Gonna Lie With Kylie Kelce.â
Co-Hosts Taking Separate Breaks
While they may be husband and wife, it looks like Ripa and Consuelos are taking some breaks on their own. Ripa is off this week, and fans of âLiveâ know that Mark was missing last week from the show.
Where was Mark? During the July 29 episode, Ripa told the audience that Consuelos was âworking on a show out in L.A.â
ABC filled his chair in with a rotation of guest co-hosts. Those guest co-hosts were actor Jerry OâConnell, ABC anchor David Muir, reality TV star Carson Kressley, and radio personality Steve Patterson. After guest co-hosting, Kressley shared a photo with Ripa on his Instagram page, writing, “LIVING for @livekellyandmark. Thanks to @kellyripa @gelmanlive and the entire amazing team for always making me feel like part of the family!”
Who Will Be Filling in for Kelly During Her Absence?
With Ripa missing from the show this week, ABC has called on some guest co-hosts to fill her shoes. On Mondayâs show, we saw former âAmerican Idolâ contestant and âNobody Wants Thisâ star Jackie Tohn serve as co-host with Consuelos.
On Tuesdayâs show, âStep Upâ actress Jenna Dewan served as co-host alongside Consuelos. Then on Wednesday, we saw Rita Ora fill in as guest co-host for the day. Meanwhile, ABC hasnât given any details of who will be filling in on Thursday and Friday.
Ripa will be making her return to âLive With Kelly and Markâ on Monday, August 11, PEOPLE confirmed. She will be joined by Consuelos for the week, and everything will feel back to normal.
