Kid Cudi branded Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs a ‘Marvel supervillain’ and recalled the terrifying moment his car was ‘torched’, as he took to the stand in the latter’s ongoing sex trafficking trial.

The disgraced rapper, 55, is currently in court in New York over charges of racketeering, sex trafficking and transportation to engage in prostitution – he has denied all allegations against him.

His former partner, Cassie Ventura, testified last week that he was enraged by her brief relationship with fellow rapper Kid Cudi, real name Scott Mescudi, in 2011 and allegedly resorted to violent threats.

Appearing in the witness box earlier today, the 41-year-old explained that he grew close to the Me & U singer when her on-off romance with Combs – which spanned 11 years – was on a break.

Multiple US outlets report that Mescudi claimed the businessman broke into his house in December 2011, after learning of their bond, and realized that his security cameras had been moved upon returning home, while his dog was locked in a bathroom.

The Day ‘n’ Nite star told the jury that soon after the incident, in January 2012, he was at an ex-girlfriend’s sister’s house when his dog sitter called to tell him that his car was on fire.

According to CNN, police officers reportedly found a Molotov cocktail in the driver’s seat of his Porsche, and he arrived to find it ‘kind of just burnt up’.

Describing photos of his vehicle after the incident, he said: ‘It looks like the top of my Porsche was cut open, and that’s where the Molotov cocktail was put in.’

The court heard that he reached out to Combs after the fire and ‘finally told him that we needed to meet up, to talk.

‘He had been wanting to talk to me, so after the fire, I was like, this is getting out of hand, I need to talk to him.’

‘Sean Combs was standing there, staring out the window with his hands behind his back, like a Marvel supervillain,’ he recalled of the meeting, in which they discussed Ventura.

When he asked the I’ll Be Missing You star about his car, he responded: ‘I don’t know what you’re talking about.’

Combs reportedly gave ‘his word’ that he had nothing to do with the fire.

Mescudi and Ventura stopped talking shortly after their relationship ended as the ‘drama was too out of hand ‘, while she continued dating on-and-off Combs until 2018.

On the stand, Mescudi reflected on later running into Combs at Soho House in 2015, where the dad-of-seven reportedly pulled him aside to apologize.

He recalled Combs saying: ‘Man I just want to apologize for everything and all that bulls**t’.

‘That was the last thing I was expecting to get from him,’ he admitted, adding that he ‘found peace’ from the interaction.

Combs has always maintained that he didn’t have any involvement in Mescudi’s car fire, with his lawyer, Marc Agnifilo, confirming this in a statement last year.

‘It’s clear the government doesn’t know who set fire to the vehicle or how it relates to Mr Combs, who denies any involvement,’ he said via the Independent.

The I Need A Girl rapper has been charged with five counts of racketeering, sex trafficking and transportation to engage in prostitution following a federal investigation.

The court proceedings are expected to go on for several weeks – if convicted, he could spend the rest of his life behind bars.

The trial continues.
