Katie Price is expected to give evidence in court following charges brought against her ex-husband Kieran Hayler, who has been accused of raping and sexually assaulting a 13-year-old girl.
Hayler, 39, is due to appear at Crawley Magistrates’ Court on November 19, where he faces allegations relating to incidents said to have taken place while he was married to Price.
The former television personality was seen for the first time since the charges became public, emerging from his car in navy gym shorts and a jumper.
A Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) source told The Sun: ‘Katie may well be called to court to give evidence. She was married to Kieran when these offences are said to have happened; it wouldn’t be surprising for her to be called up.
‘Family and friends are being made aware they may be asked to speak out, and stand up in a court of law if necessary. It is all part of the judicial process — an imperative that the truth is heard.’
Price, 46, married Hayler in 2013, and the pair share two children. They divorced in 2021 after an eight-year marriage marked by public scrutiny and personal challenges.
Sussex Police confirmed that the alleged offences took place between June and October 2016, while Hayler was married to the former glamour model and TV personality.
The alleged victim is not related to either Katie Price or Hayler.
They divorced in 2021, which he later described as ‘one of the hardest things’ he has ever been through.
The couple’s relationship was frequently in the headlines during their five-year marriage, which was marked by infidelities.
The couple reconciled twice, renewing their wedding vows in 2015 and again in 2017.
However, the relationship broke down for good the following year in 2018.
Hayler’s legal representative said on Monday, according to MailOnline: ‘Kieran Hayler strongly denies the allegations made against him in their entirety.
‘Mr Hayler is fully engaged and has been co-operating with the police throughout the investigation and will continue to do so. He looks forward to his name being cleared, believing in the judicial system to do so.’
A spokesperson for Sussex Police said on Monday night, according to The Sun: ‘We can confirm Kieran Hayler, 38, of Northchapel in West Sussex, has been charged with three counts of rape and one count of sexual assault against a 13-year-old girl.
‘The offences are alleged to have occurred at an address in West Sussex between June 1 and October 13, 2016. Hayler remains released under investigation and is due to appear before Crawley Magistrates’ Court on November 19.
‘The girl, who cannot be named for legal reasons, has received support from specially trained officers as our enquiries continue.’
Hayler and his fiancée, Michelle Penticost, split in February after seven years together. They share a three-year-old son.
The couple started dating back in 2018 after striking up a romance at the school gates as Kieran’s children attended the same school as her son from a previous relationship.
