However, they both agreed that Kanye West’s pianist, Philip Cornish, helps make the holidays brighter for their four kids. The Grammy-winning pianist worked as West’s musical director since 2019. Now, Cornish comes to Kardashian’s Calabasas home every morning in December to play Christmas songs for the children to wake up to.</p>
<p id=”par-3_73″>Kanye and Philip have been good friends and collaborators for years. It was all Kanye’s idea to bring him into the house,” an insider told <a href=”https://www.thesun.co.uk/tvandshowbiz/32482836/kim-kardashian-pays-six-figures-kanye-pianist-philip-christmas/” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>The U.S. Sun</a>, adding that Kardashian didn’t initially love the idea. “He thought it was a peaceful, creative way to add some magic into the kids’ holiday routine and he insisted on it. Despite Kim originally not fully being on board, she felt it was unnecessary at first.”</p>
<p id=”par-4_49″>The source added that Kardashian continued the tradition post-divorce because of how much the kids enjoyed the music. Kardashian also grew “to love it, too.” Cornish now feels like “a member of the family” and looks forward to spreading Christmas cheer with Kardashian and West’s kids each holiday season.</p>
<p id=”par-5_39″>“Philip would do it for free and even tells Kim that, but he does get paid,” the insider continued. “Rather than per day, it’s a lump sum — which, at this point, is now well into the six figures.”</p>
<p id=”par-6_19″>The source added that the Kardashians give Cornish holiday food and gifts to experience “the full VIP Kardashian treatment.”</p>
