Kim Kardashian Decides Who Will Inherit ‘Most Important’ Engagement Ring

Kim Kardashian has amassed a few engagement rings, which isn’t surprising for someone who’s been married three times. But out of the four rings, there’s one in particular that she attaches the most emotion to. That sentiment is precisely why she feels the ring already belongs to one of her children.

“I’m gonna give that one to Northy, because she was with me when I got engaged,” Kim told Khloe Kardashian in Season 6, Episode 6 of “The Kardashians.” “And she held it after and I took a photo, when she was just, like, a few months old.”

Kim Left the Ring Behind When She Went to Paris

In the most recent episode of ” The Kardashians, ” Kim and Khloe traveled to India for the wedding of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant. The occasion sparked memories for Kim related to her own marriages and her love of diamonds. “My first one [ring] that I got engaged with Kanye was a cushion cut, and that was the only piece of jewelry I owned that I didn’t take to Paris,” Kim told Khloe.

Kim then remembered heading to Madison Square Garden wearing both engagement rings and holding her hands up to display them on an Instagram video. “Kanye saw it and goes, ‘Don’t you ever wear both of your rings at the same time. Are you looking to get robbed?’” Kim recalled. “So I left my original ring that I got proposed to — which was, like, the most important.” And because she did choose to leave that ring behind, she now has an heirloom to pass onto her daughter.

Kim Looks Back on the Ring She Gave Up

“I wonder what my next ring shape will be, in my last and final hurrah,” Kim wonders aloud to Khloe and Lorraine Schwartz in the episode, before thinking back on her various engagement rings. “Number one was a cushion cut, 14 karat. I still have it,” she says, referencing her ring from her first marriage to Damon Thomas.

Kim moved on to Kris Humphries’s infamous engagement ring. “Wait, Lorraine, my Kris Humphries ring was an emerald cut, right? How many karats, 18?” Kim asked. “About 18 with the sides,” Schwartz answered.

When hairstylist Chris Appleton asked if she still had Humphries’ ring, Kim revealed why she didn’t. “I didn’t keep that. I was pregnant with North, still married to him… and in order to divorce him he said I had to give him the ring in my divorce,” she said. “That she bought!” Khloe exclaimed. “That I bought. He contributed a fifth,” Kim said.

There were still some obvious heated feelings related to returning Kris Humphries’ ring, with Appleton even referring to Kim giving up the ring as “savage.” Schwartz tried to be the voice of reason and told Kim it was better that she let it go anyway. Kim cheekily replied, “I would’ve loved a collection.”
