Kim Kardashian Reacts After Seeing Anthony Hopkins Poke Fun At SKIMS

Anthony Hopkins and Kim Kardashian

Anthony Hopkins poked fun and gave a playful stamp of approval of Kim Kardashian’s latest SKIMS product — the Seamless Sculpt Face Wrap. In a now-viral Instagram video posted July 31, he channeled his iconic “Silence of the Lambs” character, Hannibal Lecter, wearing the wrap in the “clay” shade. The 87-year-old actor mimicked Lecter’s chilling voice and mannerisms and cheekily quipped that the product made him feel “10 years younger.” In his caption, he wrote, “Thank you, Kim. Don’t be afraid to come over for dinner @kimkardashian @skims”

Fans were quick to catch the reference — and eat it up. “Are you having Kim for dinner???” one Instagram user joked, while another added, “This is the best publicity you could get @kimkardashian! lol. You have to reply. This is so epic!” A third fan wrote, “THIS is why the internet was invented. Amazing Sir Anthony!”

The viral moment didn’t go unnoticed by Kim Kardashian herself. Just hours after Anthony Hopkins shared the video, the SKIMS founder reposted it to her Instagram Story, adding the caption: “I’M SCREAMING!!!!!”

Her repost — which tagged both Hopkins and the official SKIMS account — added even more buzz to the already viral video.

SKIMS’ new face wrap immediately drew comparisons to Lecter’s tan muzzle from the film. And whether intentional or not, the resemblance helped launch the product into meme-worthy territory.

SKIMS Leans Into Its Viral Era With New Face Shapewear

Kim Kardashian’s SKIMS officially stepped into new territory with the July 29 launch of its Seamless Sculpt Face Wrap — the brand’s first-ever facial product. According to SKIMS’ Instagram, the wrap is “made with signature sculpting fabric and infused with collagen yarns for ultra-soft overnight jaw support.”

The $48 accessory is designed to contour the jawline while you sleep, using velcro closures at the crown and nape to secure it in place. It comes in two shades, Clay and Cocoa. Despite mixed reactions online, the product sold out shortly after its release. Fans can sign up for restock updates via the SKIMS website.

Online responses ranged from curiosity to confusion. Some users asked whether the wrap helped with posture or face lifting, while others poked fun. The launch follows a series of SKIMS products that have sparked similar conversations, including hip-enhancing padded shorts and the “Ultimate Butt Enhancing” line.

Fans Are Divided, But SKIMS’ Latest Launch Is Still Selling Out

While Anthony Hopkins helped bring some lighthearted flair to the launch, not everyone is convinced by the Seamless Sculpt Face Wrap’s promised benefits. The product, which is described by SKIMS as “a must-have addition to your nightly routine,” has also drawn comparisons to a scene in “Death Becomes Her”, where Meryl Streep’s character uses a similar beauty accessory in her quest for eternal youth, according to reports.

Experts, however, have expressed skepticism. Facial plastic surgeon Dr. Joel Kopelman told Yahoo Life that there’s “no scientific evidence to support significant or lasting benefits,” and any improvements seen from wearing a chin strap overnight are likely temporary. Reconstructive surgeon Dr. Michael Bassiri-Tehrani added that such compression is mostly useful post-surgery, not for everyday use.

Despite the debate, SKIMS continues to spark conversation and sell out with each drop. And with Hopkins’ cheeky cameo making headlines, the brand’s venture into face shapewear is already shaping up to be one of its most buzzed-about moments yet.
